It's a tight course in spots with plenty of trees. The fairways need work, but are still playable. The greens are good and quick. The staff is always friendly. I'll be back soon!

I was forced to wait past my tee time for a player who never showed, even though the first tee had been open for fifteen minutes.
Once I was allowed to play, I encountered nothing but slow play as I progressed on the front nine. When I finally made the turn, an elderly foursome came out of nowhere and backed up the 10th tee. I was forced back onto the front nine.
Worst experience all year. Will never go back. By the way, the greens sucked.

We like Hernando Oaks, but not on this particular day. Not knowing there was a scramble in progress, we ended up behind the last group who were two holes behind the rest of their colleagues. Not even the rangers could speed them up.
On 14, after 4 1/2 hours, we left. Waste of time and money.

Course was in good shape. Greens were moderate speed. A few bare spots in the fairways but overall OK.
Busy day. Ended up joining a threesome. Pace of play was great. Moved right along.
Will be back!

Fairways dry in spots but not bad. Greens rolling nice. Wasn't busy so pace of play was great. Friendly staff. Price was right.

The course is in nice shape. Fast greens. Slowest round I've played all winter. Over five hours. Towards the end the tees were backed up three groups deep. Enjoy.

Some of the fairways were skimpy, but the course was in great condition overall. The pace of play was good even though the course was busy.

They warn you that the greens are not in the best shape. They're right. Slow, bumpy with bare patches.
Other than that, the rest of the course is in great shape. We were practically alone on the course so we took our time and had a great round.
Thanks to Golfnow, the greens fee was reasonable. We would play Rolling Oak again.

The greens were fast. Tee boxes and fairways are due for some attention. Hardly anyone on the course so pace of play was great. Nice course.

The greens are terrible. Fairways need work. There's power line construction on the back 9 that has shortened a couple of holes.
But... If you're looking for a course to practice your game, this is it. It's cheap and you can have your own cart and play alone. Important during these times.
It's a friendly course and there are a few tricky holes. I get there at least once a week.

Course is taking COVID-19 precautions. Raised pins, no drinking water, no ball washers. Greens in great shape. Fairways OK.

This is a nice course with great potential. The greens, for the most part, are a work in progress. There are a few bare spots in the fairways. Other than that, this course is very good. Great layout.
The day we played, the course had very few people playing. We finished 18 in under 3 1/2 hrs. Staff very friendly. Will be returning soon.

The course, now known as Highland Hills, is fairly easy to locate and looks nice from the street. Once you tee off, you can see the problems.
The fairways are shoddy. More than once my playing partners had to roll the ball for a grass lie. Preferred lies were the rule of the day.
The greens were good and the tee boxes adequate. I would not pay full price for this course and probably won't return considering the abundance of better courses in the Citrus, Hernando County area.
