Winter hammered this course

The course isn't extremely long (my son and I played the Champion tees) but the layout and the sprawling nature of the course made it feel like it. Although the greens still show some signs of Spring aeration, they were OK. But.... the harsh Winter really took a toll on the fairways with many being dirt bare. You'll need a good grasp on how to play "tight" lies to negotiate this course and maintain your handicap.

Tight Lies...

Older course with very, very limited amounts of grass in fairways and rough. Every shot necessitated precise ball-first contact to generate a quality shot. With limited grass, ball striking was at a premium and chipping even more difficult. A flop shot was nearly impossible except for the exceptionally skilled player.

Greens were extremely fast and in some cases, green slope made it nearly impossible to lag a putt. Some greens were at Augusta-like speed. Full price would have been very disappointing!

Given the mid-March timeframe, grass may become more plentiful in a month or so, don't know.
