Candler Hills Golf Club
Played On 11/04/2020Great Course
Candler Hills is the nicest course in the Ocala area. It is not easy and I guarantee every golfer, you will find sand. But, with that said, the course if FAIR. Plenty of room to aim away from the bunkers. Course is in great shape. I was in a threesome, sandwiched between two foursomes and played in an incredible 3 hrs and 15 min Flew through our round, but NEVER rushed. Love this place. Staff (Big Dave) incredible. Happy Hour is a must afterwards. Only gave 5 stars because I couldn’t give 10.
Royal Oaks Golf Club
Played On 10/23/2020Just plain fun!!
I am an 18 handicapper, and this course was a blast to play. I had 2 different 9’s. 48/43. The course was in great shape. I played the gold tees, and the ONLY negative was the tee boxes could have been mowed a little better than they were. Most were longer than the “norm”. But, staff was great and price was fair. Was able to use golf now. I will be back.
Candler Hills Golf Club
Played On 10/19/2020Amazing experience!!
This was my first time playing the course, and it was amazing. The rate was fair if not on the low side for such a quality course. Though it is not crazy long (depending on the tee boxes used) , you have to make shots ALL day long. I played, not so great, but still had a blast. I will be back.
Arizona Golf Resort
Played On 04/15/2020So So experience
This is a bit of a strange gig!! Forget tee times, even if you have one. I was told, just go ahead whenever you are ready. I was a single, playing between a twosome and a five some, and they told me now to joining them, as they always play as a fivesome. Ended up playing with the two some. Course is ok, it’s long and in pretty nice shape. Probably won’t go back. It was a HUGE “ just ok “ experience. Staf was cordial, just needs guidance.
Fountain of the Sun Country Club
Played On 04/14/2020Wow!! Great layout.
Please don’t judge this course by the yardage alone. It is a very nice layout and greens, though a tad slow, were constant throughout all holes. At 4,000 yds not the longest but for seniors and higher handicappers quite a challenge. Staff was super, and with Golf Now an affordable course to play. You must make shots and would suggest using a urethane covered ball and go pin seeking. Great gig!!

This course is amazing. Don’t let the yardage discourage you. You still have to make shots!!
Ocala National at Golden Hills Country Club
Played On 11/25/2019You control the challenge!!
Course is sweet. I believe there are 5 sets of tees. From the tips, tie your shoes and go ballin. Not a banger, equally challenging from the gold or green( I play a combo of green and golf). As a 19 handicapper, I shot 95, but a beautiful round of golf it was. Greens are consistent, and quite large. Only small negative is the bunkers need a tad of love. Would I play there again, Heck yea!! Not many courses. An accommodate a scratch golfer and a 20 handicapper at the same time. The Ocala National does this and more. Pick the appropriate tee and go for it.
Hello John. Thank you for taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass along your feedback to the staff, especially the fivesome situation, so they can work to make changes. Thanks for visiting us!
