Old South Golf Links
Played On 10/10/2021Fantastic day
This was our favorite of the courses we played in HH. The layout was great, conditions great after 2 heavy days of rain. Play was slow, but that was mostly due to cart path only because of the rain. Staff was great as well, such a treat and the GolfNow rate made it good deal for the area. We especially enjoyed the fact that only 3 or 4 of the holes had houses on them, vs most on HH island where they line every hole. It will be a must play when we go back.
St. Johnsbury Country Club
Played On 08/15/2021Good round
Tees were not in best of shape, test was fine. Severe elevation changes on many holes, enjoyed the down hill, up hills were a challenge. 3rd time I’ve played it but first for the wife.
The Golf Club at Equinox
Played On 08/10/2021Fun layout
Really liked the course, fairways, tees and greens in great shape, some of the bunkers were a little rough but looked to be from recent heavy rains, hopefully fixed up soon. Pace of play was 4:40, but it was a hot humid day so may have accounted for that. I would definitely play again next time in the area.
Run Down
This course is in dire need of some maintenance. The tees and fairways were in poor condition, un-mowed, very little grass. The cart paths were all broken up asphalt in several areas. It seems like a nice quickly hilly layout of they can put some money back into it. The greens were in good shape, place of play was fine because no one was there. The price was 30, we had played elsewhere for the same $ the day before and had much better conditions, it was early in the season, but based on the review from past October conditions seemed similar.
Cleghorn Golf & Sports Club
Played On 04/18/2016Fun Course, Hilly Layout
We played this very early in the season, there were still tarps next to the greens so I assume they just opened. Things were a little brown still, but giving them the benefit of the doubt on conditions because of that. The course was a great value for 30$ compared to North East golf, the greens were in very good shape, some of the the t's needed to grow some. The course was very hilly and challenging, I would play again and would love to do so during high season. You would benefit from playing more than once to know the hidden challenges.
Campbell's Scottish Highlands Golf Course
Played On 04/24/2015Nice Course, fun layout
Played 2 days in a row, the snow had just melted and the course had only been open a week but was in great shape for this early in the season. Greens were excellent, fairways were soft but not plugging. Staff is super nice, price seemed fair for quality of the corse.
We do have a very scenic course with a great variety for wildlife. Thanks for the 5 stars and we are glad you enjoyed your day at Old South.
