Edgerton Towne Country Club
Played On 07/27/2015Scenic Views...Decent Condition
This course is obviously the home course of Steve Stricker. The entire course is quite scenic, with a lot of blind shots and hills throughout. The front nine is quite squished together, while the newer back 9 is spread out a lot more. However, they did not buy out all of the land before developing, so you will be driving around a neighborhood between a few of the holes.
However, the maintenance off the course was not fabulous. Part of it was poorly maintained bunkers, and the other part was that some of the greens were absolute garbage. They either were not mowed short enough (felt like putting on the fairway) or they are a different type of grass. It is very annoying when there isn't consistency on a course (aka if the greens change speed from hole to hole).
Overall, I would say that it is a beautiful course that you should try to play. Watch out for the golf lessons...if you get caught behind the junior golfers you'll be waiting for a long time before you can pass them.
Bridges Golf Course
Played On 06/05/2015Great golf for those looking to maximize their utility
While the course is close to the airport and main roads, Bridges makes up for that with a well-cared for course and an even better price. A few challenging holes paired with tall weeds make for a fun course that rewards you greatly if you can keep drives moderately on target. Bring the mosquito repellent!
