The Bear was in good shape over all. The fairways had some dormant spots where the over seeding didn’t take. Greens were a little slow but ran true. Definitely will play it again.

The course has great opportunity to be outstanding but it will take some TLC. Greens were rough due to nobody fixing ball marks. Very dry!

A pleasant surprise. San Marcos is truly one of the better municipal courses in the area. Greens were fair. Sand was in great shape. The course will be in great shape when the weather warms up and the Burmuda grass grows in.

Arizona Grand is one of the better layouts with the exception of about 4 holes ( blind shots over hazards w/o warnings) the conditions were average with quick greens, rough tee boxes ( still hitting off tees so not a big deal) fairways that are spotted with wet areas that have little grass. The pace of play was slow but again with blind habits it is understandable. Warm up area is a net no chipping area, putting green is next to #1 tee box. Only way to green is to walk. This is not a negative review but an attempt to inform people what to expect. I will play it again but. It at full price.

Had an enjoyable experience here. The course was in good shape for early season golf. Greens were very tough to read and harder to get a ball to stick but they ran true. Sand traps were well maintained.

A good value for prime time golf. Greens were quick and tricky with large undulations but they ran true. Fairways are in good shape. Cart paths are rough but who cares.

Add it to the list of courses to play when in Phoenix.

This is one to put on the to-do list. Nice layout, consistent greens that run smooth with good speed. Friendly staff that made you feel like they appreciate you being there.
Definitely will play it again.

The greens are slower than most around but they don’t need to be. The course design is challenging enough you don’t want fast undulating greens

The course played great. Greens roles true and smooth. Fairways were in good condition. Greens are receptive especially #13 ( Got my 6th ace ). Enjoyed watch the cars race and the fighter jets take off and land. I would recommend you put this course on your good value list.

An awesome value and venue. The course was in great condition for winter golf. Greens ran true with a great pace. The fairways were in great shape with the ball sitting up. I would like to tell you not to play the course so I can keep it to myself but that would be unfair to the people who made this a gem.

Had a great day at Palmbrook. The course was in great shape for February. Greens ran smooth, fairways were in good condition. I would like more sand in the traps but they were fine. Can’t recommend this place more

Encanto is an outstanding course for the money. Most municipal courses could not hold a candle to Encanto. Fairways were in great shape, sand traps were well maintained. Greens were on the fast side and true. Although they were firm they held a shot.

I will be playing this course again during my stay.

I played Ocotillo last year and again this year and both outings were one of the most enjoyable I have played. Greens were in great shape rolling very fast. (11+). fairways were well maintained and mow

Unfortunately, this was not the course we thought it was when we booked our tee times but we decided to give it a try.

The greens were very nice stemping at an 11+ but the tee boxes and fairways were in rough condition. I realize that it is early and the grass is slow in coming up but dying the sod to make it look better only makes my rating go down. Pace of play was very slow.

On the postive the staff were very helpful and freindly.

Overall not worth the money in my mind.

A wonderful layout and challenging course that has lost some of its spark. The course has a great layout although it isn't marked well. The fairways and tees were in fair condition. The bunkers were non existent, nothing but hard dirt that resembles concrete in every bunker and it isn't worth scaring a club to hit out of.

Greens were hard and not receptive but had good speed.

Although it is one of my favorite courses in the area I was disappointed in the condition.

I will give the staff a pass on their friendliness as everyone has a bad day.

Driving range is off mats. Ok for Irons but can't use a tee for a driver.

Carts are in need of some major TLC.

I will be back next month and hope to see the Kokopelli I remember.
