Beamish Park Golf Club
Played On 12/17/2023Great course
Considering the conditions recently, the course was in excellent nick. 6 winter greens. Thoroughly enjoyed it though. Pretty challenging and very hilly. Will deffo be back in summer.

Played On 08/15/2023Varied holes
Great links course. Holes are all very varied. The greens are really difficult to protect the course on the shorter holes. In almost immaculate condition. Great views of the coast (if you blank out the power station!)
Pace of play was horrendous though. A 4 ball in front of us basically held the whole course up for hours. Some players behind us wouldn’t have got their rounds finished.
Warkworth Golf Club
Played On 01/23/2022Winter layout is very slow
Second time I’ve played this course. It’s a lovely course set right on the beach with beautiful views. Considering the time of year the course is in amazing condition. Winter tees are in play which changes the complexion (severely on some holes).
However the pace was horrifically slow. So much so that after 11 holes we walked off. It’s only 9 hole course that you play twice and the congestion was awful.

Course was in great condition, a good challenge and great value for money. Highly recommend.

Played On 12/20/2020Some cracking views.
Played this course for the first time. 2 weeks of incessant rain have not helped the course at all. It’s pretty muddy but they’ve still got the majority of normal greens in play.
Quite hilly as you may expect for the area. Was certainly a good work out.
The course was very busy and the weather poor so it was pretty slow but not terrible.
The holes were all challenging and pretty varied.
I can’t wait to come back and try again in the summer.

Played On 09/27/2020Superb links
I’ve played here a few times. The course is challenging enough without being ridiculous for the higher handicap golfer.
Stunning views over the North Sea.
