Course in good shape. Greens were very good and putted true. Fairways were good but very little tough. Teeboxs in good condition.

Very well manicured course. Friendly staff and fair price. Pace of play was good.

Nice layout, tees, fairways and greens were very good. Only complaint was the location of some cups. Greens are very undulating which is fine but they put some cups on crests so it was basically impossible to get any shot close to the hole and 3 putts were almost garunteed.

Course was in excellent condition. Spacious fairways. Greens held and putted true. Would play again.

First time playing here. Impeccable conditions. Played holes 1 - 18. Teeboxs, fairways and greens were in excellent condition. Greens were quick but putted very true. I would definitely recommend and play this course again.

The course has too many blind shots from the fairway over hills where you can't see if the group in front of you is gone. Some greens have sevre slants to them. The greens were good as far as holding and putting. Fairways had some weeds in them. If laid out better, this course could have been a much better one.

Like most of the layout. A couple of holes had sharp doglegs and had no idea what laid ahead. This course has great views of the Charlevoix area. Greens were hard to read. Gentle breaks you can not pick up looking. But they putted very good. Fairways and tees were in top notch condition. I would go back and play this course.

Played this course before it was sold and dormant for a year. Played for the first time since then and the current owners are doing a good job of getting it back into shape. Greens held shots and putted pretty true. Fairways are green but need to have the grass fill in somewhat. Will be back to play again this summer. It is just a nice change of pace to play this course.

Beautiful layout. Challenging with tree lined fairways and water. Tees, fairways and greens were in very good shape. Greens rolled true and were above normal speed. Bunkers were raked and sand was playable. Enjoyed the Monarch the most of the 3 available courses. Saw deer, turkey, hawk and other wildlife while playing.

This course can provide a challenge for any level of golfer. Course is maintain at a high level. Great practice facilities. One of my favorite to play.

1st time playing this course. Fairways are playable but once you get to the greens, good luck. Pin placements were on some slopes and if you got on the wrong side, 3 putt minimum. Greens held well and putted true but level spots are rarely found. Some of the views from the course are just beautiful. I consider this one of, if not the toughest courses in the Gaylord area because of the greens.

First time I played the course and would not hesitate to go back. Maintained very well. Not super long but enough of a challenge. Greens were very receptive to shots, even long irons. Greens putted true. The first time out though there are a couple of holes that dog leg and if you hit the ball long enough, you can go through the fairway and into the woods. Not a real problem though.

I have played this course a number of times and I always enjoy it. Course is maintained very well and has enough challenges for me. Staff is friendly and helpful. I love the short par 3 12th hole. Not always easy to par at 100 yards..
