This used to be one of my favorite courses on the coast. Great southern went bankrupt and was sold at auction about a year and a half ago with the understanding of the new owner(a realestate deveolper out of FL) to keep this open for two years. It is obvious they do not entend to put a dime back into this course. Paid $100.00 dollars for a two some. The greens were the worst I have ever seen there, no sand in the traps. The back nine was closed so we had to play the front twice. Was loosing balls hit in the fairway due to no up keep of the grass. Could not find any yardage markers antwhere.So sad. This course deserves better. Do not waist your time here. If you cannot get a tee time somewhere else go play Put Put!

Really enjoy this course. One of my favorite in Gulfport. Tee boxes and fairways were in great shape but some of the greens and sand needed a little work but overall this course in in great shape. The staff here is always awesome and very friendly. The gentleman in the pro shop gave us the complete history of the course the fist time we played there. Playing Great southern is always a great experience.
