Oak Valley Golf Course & Resort
Played On 07/28/2014surprise
playing on a Monday afternoon, as a twosome. started at 2:00. was moving along when all of a sudden, here comes all kinds of carts and golfers onto the back nine. It was league night and this week was back nine week. no one informed us of this and we should have been sent off the back to start. instead it became hit and wait 5 minutes to hit again. also, put some sand in the bunkers. number 17 is just dirt.
Sunset Hills Golf Course
Played On 11/17/2013blown away
When I say blown away, I mean it. First 12 holes or so, the wind was gusting up in the 50 mph range. Made for quite the challenge. Course is essentially links style, where it is relatively flat, moguls, with a few trees and bunkers here and there. Course is in good condition for this time of year. Greens have aeration holes, but they don't effect your putts as much as the sticks and leaf debris.(not the courses fault)

Played On 9/29/2013Play with someone who knows the course
Hadn't played the course in quite some time, so I wasn't familiar with the distances to attempt to hit shots on numerous holes. Number of blind type, dogleg shots. Course was in okay condition. Tee boxes needed some work. Overall, I would rather play Columbia Bridges, which is the sister course.
Aberdeen Golf Club
Played On 9/22/2013beautiful day
Absolutely beautiful weather and a great way to spend the day. Course was in good condition and the greens were cut and rolled, so they had a little speed to them. My first time playing the course, so it helped that we were partnered up with a couple of people familiar with the course. Tee times were a little behind because of the morning dew. Will certainly go back and try again.
Annbriar Golf Course
Played On 9/7/2013must play
This is one of the better maintained course in the area. It has been extremely dry, yet the greens were excellent. Fairways were getting a little burnt, yet in good shape. Layout of course from hole to hole is well thought out. Scenic, beautiful, just a fun course to play. Try it, you'll like it. There was a tournament that started just ahead of us, so pace of play was a bit slow. Normally doesn't take as long.
Stonebridge Golf Club
Played On 9/1/2013soaked
The negative is that the course was soaked even though there had not been any rain. Your feet squished walking in the tee boxes and fairways. The positive is that the course wasn't busy. Had never played here, so numerous times had to drive forward, to see where to try to hit, to get in scoring position. If you enjoy a challenge of a day of target golf, this is the place.
Columbia Bridges Golf Club
Played On 8/30/2013quirky course
This course has a little bit of everything. Uphill, downhill, open, narrow, left, right. You name it, this course has it somewhere along the line. Seems to be in the same shape no matter when you play here. You can see for miles from the 17th green.
Fairfield Golf Club
Played On 6/23/2013where is the hole ?
The course is short (5900 yds) from the back tees. It seemed as though there is very few holes that you can tell where you are trying to hit the ball. Lots of layups because of doglegs, yet you have no idea of distances, because no signs or the scorecard doesn't really inform you. Would be easier to find now that I have played the course. With that, still played in less than 3 hours. Wouldn't pay more than 20 dollars to play this course.
Pevely Farms Golf Club
Played On 5/5/2013enjoy the challenge
Wet, soggy, windy day. Cartpath only, so it took a bit longer to play than normal. Beautiful and challenging course under any conditions. Greens have not completely recovered from spring aeration. Lots of undulation aroung the course, which is part of its challenge. Give it a try, and enjoy the scenery as you go around the course.
Gateway National Golf Links
Played On 3/23/2013links madness
Links style course, in which you better bring your A game, and your big boy clubs. Played from the back tees and there is some long, challenging holes. No trees to worry about, but plenty of tall grass areas. Beautiful well kept course, with fast greens.
Mystic Oak Golf Course
Played On 2/9/2013enjoyed a cool day
It was a rather cool day (around 40 degrees) when I started, so I was the only one on the course over the front nine. Not the most difficult course by any means, although there is enough water and trees around, that you can get into plenty of trouble. Course has 5 par 5's, with only one of them that is reasonably reachable in two, for an average type player. Greens are currently tough to putt (winter time), but decent in the summer. Very fair for the price, would recommend to play it at least once.
