About
y work hard to maintain my handicap. Can't hit the ball too long anymore. I'm the kind of player that looks to get home in three on 4 pars. And make a few putts. I'm pretty accurate

Lake Isle has become one of the premier muni trcks in lower Westchester. Thanks to their greens keeper. They do a great job

Played On 09/09/2017Greens are well done
For several years now, Lake Isle has a new
greens keeper and maintenance company.
They do a great job.
The greens run true and pretty quick for a town course. One thing, on several holes, the pin is always in the same place. Perhaps, move a pin or two
Pelham Bay at Pelham/Split Rock Golf Course
Played On 09/08/2017Pelham Split Rock Fairways and Greens
This track is a New York City municipal course.
Considering the fact that it is a city course, it's in quite nice shape. The fairways and the greens are well kept. However, no one repairs a ball mark or replaces a divot. Why not respect the game.
The rough is about 6 inches and can be difficult.
The rest of the areas need considerable work.
The cart paths are crumbled and very poor.
There are downed branches and trees in the deep rough and woods. It's not very appealing to the eye.
The course plays longer than it is. There's a good deal of into the wind play.
During the week, they offer a deal with lunch and two drinks. Can't beat the price

Doral Golf Club, The
Played On 6/9/2013Reminded me of aJack Nicklaus Track
Very well maintained. Lot's of water. Relatively short. You need to make shots. Almost a target golf course. Quite a few dead elephants burried in the fairways. Small tight greens
Not a lot of flat lies in the fairways. For a 20+ handicap golfer this track from any tee box is much too difficult. I lost 6 balls, and hit the ball pretty well. If you can hit the high fade like Jack, you're in good shape.
Swan Lake Golf Club
Played On 6/3/2013excellent track
i reviewed the course because i have played there before
in actuality we were rained out on this past monday
Douglaston Golf Club
Played On 1/14/2013It's Winter and it's open
This track is a short par 67. 7 par three's 2 par fives and 9 par fours. For January, remarkable high player volume. A few of the holes are a bit silly. The greens need a lot of work. Noone repairs a divot. That's typical of a public course. For $30.00 with cart, it was well worth it.
