Grand Canyon University Golf Course
Played On 01/23/20201st visit
Super friendly staff from the parking lot to the course. GPS watches had nine's turned around, no help. Pin placement sheet not much help, didn't seem to be accurate anyway. Wife's hated the sand traps, yes there is lots of sand..."everywhere". Good sand and fair, if you don't like sand stay away, traps are pretty deep too. Greens rolled fine , pin placements were a bit extreme...not many flat spots. I'd play again, wife says no way. They referred to it as bunkerville. Lots of big established trees. interesting layout, could walk it fairly easy.
North Golf Course at Sun City
Played On 01/17/2020Nice track
Course was the most interesting / challenging we've played so far within the Sun City courses. We had a group of 5 in front of us, pace could have been faster. Enjoyed the course, greens rolled good and sand traps had good sand....pretty deep too.. .
Willowcreek Golf Course

New to the Sun City area, Willowcreek was #10 since Nov. 1st. Decent condition even in the adjacent areas just off and around each hole, typical in Sun City, . Pretty wide and flat like all the Sun City courses we've tried so far, not much trouble, greens rolled good. Staff was friendly.
Wigwam Resort - Blue Course
Played On 11/18/20191st time @ the Wigwam
Nice condition for early in the season, enough water hazards and sand to add some interest...blue course. We were short on time so weren't able to check out the restaurant but friends said it's good. GPS couldn't find the entrance, had to ask someone for directions.
Escena Golf Club
Played On 12/13/2016Great Layout
Enjoyed our day, staff friendly. Sand traps well maintained, greens rolled nicely. Nice track with great views. Restaurant looks great with nice views everywhere....menu was a let down, place was completely empty. Had a beer and left.....course was busy but no one in bar....too bad.

Shadow Ridge Golf Club
Played On 04/11/20161st round @ SR
Staff was very friendly and helpful from the parking lot to the first tee. Course was fun and greens rolled great with lots of challenge from undulation, no easy 2 putts. Cloudy day so views were limited, but I'm sure it's great on clear days. Fairways were a bit tight for my liking but green and fair. Lots of condos around, not in the way of golfers since fairways are plenty wide. The grounds around the condos looked pretty trashy in the back drop of such a well maintained course, obviously a different standard or maintenance group.

Friendly helpful staff and starter, well stocked pro shop. Course is nicely maintained, greens rolled great, gps in carts was helpful, never bothered with using mine. Plenty of water on the course and the beverage person made it by frequently.
Indian Canyons Golf Resort - North Course
Played On 12/15/2015Ist visit
Fantastic course and layout, fast smooth greens. It's much more challenging than the South Course and every bit as nice. Well stocked Golf shop with friendly helpful staff. Starter and outside attendants were cheerful and helpful. You need to go across the street to the South course for the 19th hole but that's pretty easy and it's very nice.
Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort - North/South

Really great looking area, friendly helpful staff and well stocked golf shop. We played the north and South courses, front nine was in great shape, back nine was less than average condition...180 out from the front. Both nines are interesting. We did not stop after our round for refreshments but the bar and dinning area looked like a great place to stay and enjoy.
Mesquite Golf & Country Club
Played On 12/14/2014Most Improved
Best shape I've seen this course in for several years! New Owners are making improvements, greens still not perfect but getting better fast, fairways are much improved from previous years. This is a neat track with 6 par 3's and 6 par 5's.....the 3's are long and the 5's are relatively short, 4's are challenging.....all have trouble so it keeps your attention. Great value and great views.
Legend at Tahquitz Creek Golf Resort
Played On 12/04/2014Good day at the Course
This place seems to always be busy, that's good sign....obviously well run.
Arrive early, checking in was a zoo. Course is in decent shape, greens were very good. Not much character to the course until the last five holes, lots of houses but the fairways are so wide I doubt anyone could hit one. The carts are really dirty, saving water is the explained reason for this....seems like a quick wipe down would take care of what seems to be just a lazy non caring practice.
Date Palm Country Club
Played On 04/25/2014Great Value
We live in Palm Springs for 6 months durning the winter and just played Date Palm, most of our friends that play it keep telling us it's for beginners and we wouldn't like. We played anyway and both enjoyed the round. Course has the right amount of water, nice views and interesting layout. The greens are slow but well maintained and roll nicely. We will return!
Cathedral Canyon Golf Club
Played On 04/19/2014Golf for Four
Interesting layout in and out of the trees and housing, well kept greens. Nice place to play on hot days, lots of shade when you need it. Good value here, I'd play again! We let a single play through only to find a 2 twosomes behind the single, and then another twosome.....all seemed to be in a big hurry. Letting singles and twosomes out in lieu of asking or expecting them to pair up on busy days does little to speed up play and lends to the feeling of being pushed? Crossing the wash area to the first tee is a mess but everything got better after the first hole....to bad this area can't seem to be repaired to reflect just a little class?
Indian Canyons Golf Resort - South Course
Played On 01/24/2014Beautiful Course
This course is in great condition with outstanding views and a really friendly staff. I don't recall any easy pin placements, our group had numerous three and some 4 putts even though the greens are fairly slow.......which tends to make lengthy rounds. Stay below the holes!
