We played Shipyard for the first time as it was recommended by friends who played it before.
We played the Galleon and the Clipper courses.

Our round included a small bucket of balls and power cart.
Staff in the proshop were very friendly and accomodating.
It is a fair test of golf especially early in the season with wide fairways that are surrounded by homes on every hole.
Lots of water hazards however to manovure around. Watch the gators!
The greens were immaculate, fast and true.
The fairways are starting to come back from the winter season. They likely will improve day by day with the warmer weather.
The bunkers are well maintained with plenty of sand in them..
The cart girl passed by 3 times through 18 holes.
We saw the marshall twice. He repeatedly asked if we were satisfied with the pace of play?
We got held up a couple of times but nothing to get overly upset about.

One might agrue that it is over priced for this time of year. You only get what you pay for.
We were just greatful just to be playing rather than shovelling snow.
Give them a try when your in Hilton Head.
