Cherry Island Golf Course
Played On 10/09/2019greens in xlnt condition. lot of leaves on the course. facilities very old. no signs for directions to golf shop. course in fair condition and a little hard to get to. had yard markers on most holes. lot of variety and a lot of trees.
Dos Lagos Golf Course
Played On 04/27/2016Nice course
Course in excellent condition. Has some difficult and and some very scenic holes. Had to wait on every hole on back nine and got into a shouting match with two older idiots behind us who thought we didn't hit quite fast enough after the group in front of us hit their 2nd shots even though we waited at least 10 minutes on every hole. Took us 4 1/2 hours to play. Has much nicer golf shop than prior trailer. Greens were fast and a little hard to read. Could use better distance markers. At $23 is a n xlnt value for an excellent course. We are seniors using senior tees.
CrossCreek Golf Club
Played On 11/04/2014Nice
Excellent course, challenging holes, fast greens, great condition and very serene location. Only concern is that there is no cell phone reception with most carriers thus no gps or calling options. Cart gps would be nice.
The Golf Club at Rancho California
Played On 05/22/2014Compares with other courses in the area
Tough for first time. Lot of hazards, sand and fast greens. Course in good condition but not great. Good variety of holes. We got a good rate of $23 for a weekday on Golfnow. Whatever the rates, they shouldn't be more than Cross Creek, Temecula Creek, Red Hawk or similar courses in my opinion.
Would play again at a decent rate although the above courses are in somewhat better condition.
California Oaks Golf Course
Played On 5/11/2013Is a very short but narrow and tight course
Course in fair condition. First time player. Very short (5500 yds) but a lot of obstacles to be aware of so course management is important. Need to play 2-3 times to learn how you have to play it. i.e. # 10 is a layup drive due to a large ditch 175 yds out in a gully 75 yds in front of the green. This ditch can't be seen from the tee and if your ball goes in it, it is probably lost. Miss some fairways, get in some ugly growth right on the edge and your ball is lost. We got a "hot deal" on Golf Now on a Sat for $12 so can't complain about that. Was a very hot day and play was fast. Greens were slow, which I liked, but took a while to get used to.
Indian Hills Golf Club
Played On 4/24/2013Several brown spots in fairways. Has a few tough holes. Is a good value in $20 price range but not much more.
Course is kept in fair shape. Greens in good condition. Overall a good average course. Has some good views. Maybe a bit better than Jurupa Hills but would only play either course at a very good price which we had (under $20).
Green River Golf Club
Played On 3/23/2013we started behind a "medical pot" tournament so play was very slow.
The course was in very good condition. The staff was very friendly and tried to be helpful regarding the slow play. We played thru 13, replayed 1,2 & 12 and called it a day. Would have been a 5+ hour day if stayed the course. The "pot" players were interesting to watch to say the least. Was surprised such a tournament would be booked on a weekend.
