Palmbrook Golf Club
Played On 12/13/2018Good Value
Aside from the relatively slow pace of play, everything else was very acceptable. We arrived early and were allowed to start early. Beverage cart checked with us multiple times. Course was in good condition with challenging pin placements and fast greens. Definitely will return to this course and recommend to others.

This course is user friendly from the moment you arrive in the parking lot. They have power carts ready for you to drive to your car to load your clubs before you check in. If you check in first, they'll have a cart backed up to the proshop waiting for you. Very friendly proshop check in. Free range balls for warmup. Practice chipping and putting greens are in great shape. If you need free ice for the cooler on your cart it's very handy. Water also ready to soak your playing towel. The course itself is fun to play and you can make it as challenging as you like by playing different tee combinations as shown on scorecard. Pace of play could have been somewhat better, but I'm finding that to be the case on several courses lately. When your round is complete you can drive the power cart to your vehicle in the parking lot. Overall, a well run course that caters to the customer!

Played On 11/23/2016Pace of Play Could Use Some Improvement
First 2 holes are clearly marked cart path only, but this was ignored by the group behind us which really pushed us and further congested the short par 3 on hole #3. We tried our best to adhere to 90 degree rule where required, but this proved ineffective as other golfers blatantly ignored this rule. The group in front of us had 4 golfers and a "walker". Sometimes the 5 of them would switch up between walking/riding, but we waited several times for them to advance on several holes.
Bottom line......if you're going to have these rules, enforce them. We think you could eliminate the cart path only rule on the first 2 holes, as well as the 90 degree rule, and pace of play would flow just fine.
Starfire Golf Club - The King Course
Played On 02/13/2016Nifty little course
Played the Squire/Hawk combo so it's a little shorter track. Still, lots of fun to play. Course is in good shape overall with some challenging pin placements. All staff treated us superbly! You obviously choose staff that are friendly and have a good sense of humour. We'll be back!!
We are glad you enjoyed your experience I will let the staff know that they are doing a great job.
Pine at McCormick Ranch Golf Club
Played On 02/10/2016Nice "middle of the road" course
Course itself was in fine shape. Island green was fun. Pin placements were fair. Driving range was terrible as hitting surface was 95% sand. Overall, decent golf value for your money.
Cave Creek Golf Course
Played On 03/16/2015Nice Muni Course
Nice municipal course with friendly staff. Good value for your golfing dollar. Greens in pretty good shape with only the odd blemish. Freshly made sandwich at the turn was good. Beer cart service on course was available frequently. Overall good experience.
Southern Ridge Golf Club
Played On 02/25/2015This is a "$20.00" Course, at best!
Staff extremely friendly. Greens in decent condition. Tee boxes terrible. Fairways atrocious with multiple areas of hard pan scattered throughout. Two ball washers on entire course. This would be a great course for beginners or those just learning the game, or those just wanting to get out and whack a ball around without breaking the bank.
Nice little short course
Played course 3 times already this season. Each time staff got us out earlier then our t-time...much appreciated! All staff very friendly. Great course to work on your short game with 13 par 3's, but you also get to hit longer clubs as well.Pace of play is acceptable due to course layout...you will have to wait on some holes as we've never seen anyone wave up players on par 3's because there's no advantage in doing so....you would just wait on tee with one or two other groups. Overall, a nice course to play 18 holes without spending a full day on the course.
Legend at Arrowhead, The
Played On 3/19/2013One of the nicer courses in this part of Phoenix.
Staff were cordial and were able to get us out ahead of our booked tee-time. Greens were top-dressed with sand, so putting was somewhat of a challenge. Bunkers very strategically placed. Overall, a decent course to play.
Sundance Golf Club
Played On 1/9/2013Nice 18 hole track.
Great desert course with some challenging holes and some interesting pin placements. Friendly staff. Only downfall is pace of play is not monitored or marshalled. I'm a proponent of playing "ready" golf and exiting each green swiftly after putting out. Too many groups confuse an "enjoyable round of golf" with playing at a pace any tortoise could beat. A couple of slow groups slow up the pace for every one.
Thanks for playing and leaving your feedback Mike. We will certainly look into your suggestion.
