Harbour Town Golf Links at Sea Pines Resort
Played On 07/17/2019Worth the money
Although a little expensive, I found the experience well worth the cost. Very tight course with tree lined fairways, but fair. You just can’t hit a huge slice or hook. Greens were in great condition and rolling at around an 11 on the meter. Our caddie, Boyde (sp?), was great. Being a player himself, really helped us pick our clubs and areas to aim at. Very knowledgeable about the course. We didn’t get to use the clubhouse amenities due to the wives wanting to go out. Last four holes are beautifully designed and provide great views. I would totally recommend playing here and plan to return.
The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island Golf Resort
Played On 07/15/2019Not worth the price
We had the opportunity to play here on a Monday afternoon . Playing later in the afternoon was our plan so that we could take our time and enjoy the views and course. Quite a disappointment as we found the greens in poor condition and very, very slow. It was like putting on shag carpeting. The layout was very nice and there was plenty of views to take in. Our mandatory caddie was very poor, rode on our cart, didn’t clean our clubs, didn’t provide sight lines and continually gave us wrong reads on the green. To top it all off he had the guts to ask for a bigger tip at the end of the round. This was quite a disappointment and I would not recommend playing here.
Don't waste your money
We had a foursome who played this course on a Saturday expecting a full course full of players. However, there was very few players, most likely due to the condition of the course. This could be the worst conditioned course in the area. No grass on the tee boxes or the fairways and the greens had just been sanded. None of this was mentioned to us when we checked in or by the starter prior to teeing off. Apparently, the grounds crew knew nothing about taking care of the course or the greens, as we had piles of sand on quite a few that had to be wiped down prior to putting out. I can not recommend this course for any players of any caliber in its current condition.
The Hideaway Country Club
Played On 10/15/2014Nice Course w/challenges
We played 18 here shortly after a rainstorm hit the area. The workers were very accommodating and helped us out. The course was a little wet, but playable and we found it very challenging for an executive type course. I would recommend this course to anyone who likes to play a quick round on a challenging course.
