Made an earlier review that Freddie mailed it in. But since then, I played the course several times and the conditions have gotten much better, even the prices have come down. Now, one of our must plays when we visit Destin.

Been coming to Destin in the Spring for over a decade to play golf. This is our starter course, nice layout, won't beat you up, friendly staff, and reasonably priced. Like most courses in Destin, plenty of water hazards. Fairways great and the greens were EXCELLENT.

Been coming to Destin, in the Spring, for over a decade to play golf. This is not one of the flashiest course in Destin, but very enjoyable to play. Very scenic with a nice layout that won't beat you up. This is a great warm up course, before you play some more challenging courses in Destin. Well maintained and the greens were perfect.
Burnt Pine at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort

This is Sandestin's private course, but if you stay at the resort, you may be able to play it. Very well maintained and picturesque. The 14th hole may be the prettiest on the Panhandle, it's a par 3 over a marsh abutting the bay...just gorgeous. Find a way on, you'll enjoy it.

It is a scenic and enjoyable course, but not as nice as other courses in the area. The round took about 5 hours (for a twosome)...ouch. This course is overpriced for comparable great courses in the area. I expected a bit more, when Freddie's name was attached to it.
Thank you for playing the Golf Course in early spring, back in April. Thank you for believing we are one of the most enjoyable Golf Courses on the Emerald Coast. I am also pleased you found the course scenic, as it is designed to give great panoramic views of the Choctawhatchee Bay. For the pace of play, we have a full time Pace of Play host that recognizes when groups are behind pace using our G.P.S. on each cart. We kindly request that all golfers respect the 4 hours and 15 minutes to play 18 holes. There are times however that some golfers just cant seem to play at the acceptable pace we set. We encourage them to play at a faster pace by raking bunkers for them or tending the flag on putts to try and get them caught up. I want to assure you that we are always
looking out for each member and guests enjoyment. I would encourage you to play again soon as I am sure you will be impressed. We look forward to your safe return.

Been coming to Destin for a decade to play golf after tax season. This is one of the top 3 courses in the area. Scenic, great shape, great value, tough, but fair.
On 18 if you can tug your tee shot down left side by pond, you may be able to get home in two. It was great to end the vacation with a closing eagle!

I've been coming to the Destin area for almost 10 years to play golf after tax season. This course is by far and away the best and most scenic course you can play there. It can accommodate any golfer with its multiple tees. It hosted a US Open qualifier. Cut into the natural layout, without putting houses everywhere. In fact, I saw only a couple of houses. It recently went private....but somehow, you owe it to yourself to find a way on.
Taking time to let us know that your valuable opinion was well considered and that we were listening means so much to us. We care so much about the people and the course and how they are treated while here. I remember your first review from you quite well and I am very glad you have decided our improvements made a lasting impression and that the course is a "Must Play" while in the area. Thank you for following up your last review.
