A very good course. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were all well manicured. Extremely crowded day meant a wait at each tee. On-course managers were on hand and attempted to keep play moving as efficiently as possible.

Vastly improved over the past 12 months to a very good par course. Could reach birdie if the greens were not pitted with bare spots making for a “bouncy” putt. Lay out of course is fantastic... challenging. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Tee boxes and fairways above par. Look forward to playing this course again. Nice course to take a guest.

Perfect day...greens exceptional....fairways acceptable...bunkers wet and not attended to by golfers. Pace of play was slow at times foursomes followed by two then three and another foursome. My group was the threesome until the turn when one dropped out. Overall it was a good day and round. Just had to be patient.

Super course...layout best in area. Did not find fault with any aspect of the course. A bit pricey. Staff was very pleasant, helpfull and courteous. Thanks for a wonderful golf day.

For this time of year the course was in excellent condition. Greens a bit hard and fast.

Course overall in good shape. Fairways plush and greens were in very good shape. No grass on tee boxes...all were DIRT for the most part.

Fivesome two groups ahead kept pace of play at a wait...wait...wait. Course itself in good shape...clean fairways...greens well kept. As good as any course in area except for pace of play.

Super golfing experience. Staff was exceptional. A cart attendant took the initiative to locate me dining after golf and returned a rangefinder I had left in the cart. Quality golfers play Amelia River. A gentleman in front of us waited after 18 to complement a young man in our group for his shot making ability.

Challenging course. Stay in the fairway. Rough is tough and abundant on all 18 holes. Excellent fairways and greens.

Course has made significant improvement. Fairways actually have grass on them. Some tee boxes could be improved; many with a large amount of bare/rough spots and several greens with brown/dirt spots. You could tell that work is in progress and improvement should be seen following the heat.

Starter was very friendly and provided helpful information about course condition. Overall fairways were in good condition and greens excellent. Tee boxes could use attention...i.e. hard to find a level spot. Overall, very good experience.

Played 18 on the Hill course. Check , cart staff and starter were all very welcoming , friendly and smiling. The course is in excellent shape and challenging. You will need and use a full bag of clubs. Staff, course condition and weather made it a perfect golfing day. It doesn't get any better.

From arrival to departure was an exceptional experience at South Hampton. Staff was very cordial, course was in excellent condition and facilities were very clean.

Greens improved over past six months, Staff was very hospitable and welcoming.

Course conditions have improved considerably. I rank it as one of the better courses in the Jacksonville area. A must play.

Minimal play on my day which accounted for a very leisure 18-holes. Keep the ball in the short grass. anything off the fairway and you will spend some extra time finding your ball nested well below the top of grass. Greens and fairways in good shape. Bunkers had not been racked or fluffed.
