November course conditions.

The fairways were in good shape but a couple greens were still under maintenance or growth. Bunkers we’re playable out of and the pace of play was good considering it was cart path only. . Greens were rolling slow and I saw the beverage cart once, at the beginning of my round. Other than that, it is worth your time and money to play.

Poston July 2020

First time playing Poston Butte and had no problems. Course layout is direct and easy on the driver, can miss the fairway and still be able to find and play.. Greens were decent given the recent maintenance. Par 3 holes were nice and challenging surrounded by bunkers. Some of the fairways on back 9 were spotty but still playable. Bring plenty of water or buy plenty from the beverage cart who I’ve seen 5 times during the round.

Apache Stronghold November

Played 18 through golfnow for $25, regular green fees are $45 at the moment. Course was cart path only due to the recent rain so course was muddy. Fairways are turning yellow but the greens were ok and rolled fine. The course itself is challenging with strategic corners and angles, carts have gps. Keep it in the fairway and you’ll be ok. Par 3s appeal to all skill levels and are fun. The negatives is that they do not offer complementary water bottles on the course and their snack back / bar is closed right now..

Short course

This is a course that puts your short game to the test. Short par 3 holes that get you second guessing and some par 4s that you can take driver out if you wanted to. Pace of play was good the day I played because of the weather. There was some backup but the groups ahead kept it moving. I play this course to work on my 3 hybrid and wedges. A fun course worth your money and time

Improvement

This course is getting better. Fairways and greens are looking better as the grass continues to grow. Major improvement from previous years (patchy fairways & greens). The course is worth your money and the drive if you're looking for a challenging layout. Greens are rolling nice and the overall design of the course is improving with the adjustments and cleaning up they did. I'd recommend it to my friends and anyone who golfs.
