Good luck

The first hole is a short par 4 and wow that green is torn up. As the holes get longer and tougher, the greens are in a little better shape but they were not rolling that great. The greens appeared to have been punched a few weeks ago though. The last time I played here in October, the greens were sanded (two putt maximum helps on these greens). The greens are tough to read as the course is on a hillside. I couldn't make any putts. Sadly I don't think I've experienced the course to it's full potential. The "Iron" tees are not put out and some tee boxes are weird. I played from the golds and let my guard down.
My only complaint really is the greens. The course has the feel of Pelican Hill. They should be easy with wide open fairways and big greens, but the slopes can really give you a hard time. There are also nice canyons with a lot of shade.

This is a rambling review, sorry. The pro shop was pretty cool. Most places don't give you full respect if you are a golfnow/Hotdeal customer but they drive you to the putting green, and pick you up when it's time to tee off. Pace of play on a Wednesday 12:00 was great. I finished in about 2 and a half hours as a single.
I will look to play again in a few weeks to see if the greens are 100% Super fun course with some gorgeous par 3's, just don't lose your swing in the wind.

Hello Greg Norman

Some people don't like the elevation changes I suppose, but this course is LEGIT. I'm sad this Greg Norman design isn't on The Golf Club for Xbox ONE so I could play this course every day. Got a crazy hot deal with aerated greens for $16 Oct 15 and it was my best day of golf in a long time. It's supposed to be an Italian community, but I felt like I was in Ireland..Maybe it was the cloudy skies, either way the course is gorgeous. There's a few tricks on the par 5's that I know now for next time I play which will be very soon. Love love this course, thank you GolfNow!

More deer than golfers

Teed off wednesday after a night of rain and the weather was perfect. Partly cloudy no wind but there was hardly anybody out there. I hadn't played here in about 8 years and remember the course being stacked. Maybe it was a Friday. Not sure if it was because of the fresh weather today, but the golf course was beautiful and green. Strong smell of pine trees and like I said, alot of deer. It is a typical county course with the wide fairways, but the greens make this course more difficult than the scorecard reads. front nine was hard playing by myself because I had no feel for the greens but got a better feel for them when I joined someone on the back. View my photo if you can.

Dry fairways, lush greens

I give 4 stars for the conditions because the fairways are dry. the rough is non existent, but the greens are very nice and fast. Some may be faster than others, but they are generally fast. Average pace of play because on beautiful days it is crowded. Today it was over 100 degrees so there was nobody out there. Pro shop staff has always been friendly. Never have tried the food. Driving Range is just 7 or 8 stalls with a giant net. Putting green is nice though. Very fun course, some holes require absolute accuracy, others let you grip it and rip it. Very tough collection of par 3's so birdie the par 5's and #2. Do not land your chip shots or pitch shots on the fringe unless you want them to stop hard. The fringes are very soft and tricky to gauge. Oh yeah there were five deer across the tee box on #10 so that was cool. There are a few gimmicky holes that require you to hit over fountains, trees, etc. But, the signature # 16 is awesome, watch the wind and just club up.

A little disappointed

I thought this course would be immaculate after reading the reviews. At least the greens were perfect. Overheard some weird/rude comments from the cart boys. The cart was terrible, almost rolled down the hills a few times. Other than that, the fairways were a little thin and the rough was a little dry, but still decent. Just disappointed I thought it would be nicer than the Morongo courses and it is not.

Not terrible

Played for $13 on the hot deal. You can play other courses nearby for the same course, but I love exploring new courses. I was expecting better. I had read the resort course was the better one but I thought I saw some nice photos of the legends course but they were not. There were some nice views, but only a few of them. Rough was challenging enough which I appreciated. A lot of bald spots around and ON the green. Most putts were straight/broke less than they seemed. Typical for Palm Springs "resort" courses I am finding. I always get uncomfortable with the homes on the golf course, but I didn't hit any today. Not bad, but can not recommend this course and I am not very picky.

You can avoid this course

Played Saturday afternoon. Course was packed, teed off 10 minutes late or so. Only played the front nine which was pretty easy. My ball wasn't flying anywhere but was able to get up and down with the soft greens. Disappointed in the greens otherwise, they were extremely beat up. Play this course in the morning on a weekday if you must play this course. One of the guys my partner and I were paired up with had absolutely little to zero golf etiquette and that kinda ruins a day. A fine, peaceful course otherwise but the pace of play and people ruined it for me.

Typical County Course

Typical LA county course here... Funky tee boxes with all kinds of grass. Inconsistent greens. Nice bunkers though, but would be nice if people raked them... Pretty fun course great mix of long and short holes, but the course just does not fit my eye... I prefer more narrow courses. Had a great time, but would not recommend it to a friend.

Extremely fun

Some of the most fun I've had on the golf course in a while. pretty awkward your first time, luckily I was paired up with 2 guys that have played there before. The driving range is pretty interesting with elevation accounted into the distance markers.. The balls are dead though like every range. On the course, the ball was flying even through the wind. I'm a 8 handicap and played from the blues because I am just hitting a 2 hybrid off the tee while I figure my driver out. The greens were sanded, so they weren't as fast and didn't have as much break as I'm sure they usually do. Amazing views on every hole, a good little challenge, but yeah a lot of fun.

Fun course

Fun little course allowing you to hit most of the clubs in your bag. Hit a few shots within 10 feet but wasn't able to make any putts with the unpredictable (bumpy) greens... What do you expect though. The greens are very fun and interesting though including #6 with a bunker in the middle of it. Might try it again but there are better par 3 courses with better conditions. Nobody wears collared shirts and I am not a big fan of that style.

Very interesting

Great driving range set up with automatic ball feeder. Very awkward if it's your first time though. Pretty fun course with an extreme elevation drop on one hole. Very bouncy fairways around the greens, and the greens were good. A few par 4's where you can hit driver, but other than that I felt like I hit pitching wedge on all the par 3's which made it easy for me to get in a groove. I'll probably be back, but definitely try it out.

Grip it and Rip it

Played on a Tuesday 12:23 tee time. Probably finished in a little more than 2 hours as a single... Nobody was on the course. It was hot but not too hot for a $17 hot deal. Wide open fairways so you can hit Driver on every hole. The greens are incredible actually. Extremely fast. The grass around the greens was pretty tough though. You have to land your pitch and chip shots on the green as the fringe is too long and unpredictable. Also some very fluffy rough around the green makes for tough pitch shots. Incredible views, challenging elevation changes, and very fun.

A new favorite of mine

As soon as I saw a coyote running across the first fairway, I fell in love with this course. The smell of sage follows you throughout the entire round as you're surrounded in a beautiful native landscape. Got an unlimited play tee time and was able to also try the Champions course. The legends course is more beautiful and is playing tougher right now I do believe. Shot 83 from the Blues at Legends then 83 from the Blacks at Champions. Got all 36 in under 5 hours. It was a gloomy day, but I don't know how busy the course usually is. Pretty friendly staff and just a beautiful course. You must play here!!

Wow, Babe

I'm at Pelican Hill every day, but I was blown away by the Babe course when I walked up to the pro shop and first tee. Incredible fairways and just a few pitch marks on the greens. Very tricky putts, and a little confusing to get around your first time. You can get around well with a 3 wood (I don't have a driver) Had a lot of nice drives but screwed up a lot of short irons. Every part of your game is necessary here. Don't expect to make many putts, just get it on the green. Fell in love with this course, will definitely try Ike and come back for more Babe.

Beautiful

I've been going to Palm Springs trying to find a nice lush course with palm trees and a cool feeling. I finally found it way closer to home in Rancho Cucamonga. The greens have a lot of marks on them, but you can still make some good putts. I missed 5 putts by just a few inches, didn't hit them hard enough. Some are faster than others it seemed. Stormy weather but didn't get any rain. Teed off at 1:30 and finished by 4 on a friday. Got the tee time for $15 here on Golf Now, unbelievable value. Would pay up to $25 to play here again just because I've already played it for so cheap. Rough seems like it's shorter than people were complaining about, but it was my first time playing. 10 handicap I shot an 86 from the tips.

Pretty fun

Nice course with a few awesome views. A little shady by the overpass. pretty good wind and you can bounce your approach shots onto the green. Greens are very tough to read, but they are very friendly at receiving pitch shots. Greens roll great, almost made a few good putts but just had the wrong read. Played twice actually today 83 and 80

Such Fun

Such a fun course. Played during 3rd round of the Masters (Saturday) and there was only like 3 other groups out there around 2 in the afternoon. Not sure if it is always that empty. Was only about 83 degrees with no wind. Starter used a lot of common sense and let me start on the 3rd hole and finish on the 2nd so I could get out ahead of the only other group out there. I was blown away by the undulating fairways. Most were lush, some had a few bare spots. The "Rough" is forgiving, except around the green. Do whatever you can to get on the green, but the chipping and pitching is still fair. The greens are very hard and don't stick much. A few divots that aren't repaired so maintain your line. Finished myself in 2 and a half hours. Totally worth the hour drive from Claremont. Got a $20 rate with cart on Golf Now and have never played a course so special in this way. The waterfall on 16 is amazing, enjoy it.
