Great layout

Tucson in July/August can be a tough time for golf. Hot, monsoon rains and higher than normal humidity. (It's not always a dry heat.) Quarry Pines makes it all worth while......... terrific layout, friendly staff and a great value. The greens were in good shape, tee boxes and fairways were well kept and green and the views were wonderful.
This course is built around/in a quarry and provides challenging golf with elevations, dog-legs, and large greens. It's not real long, but requires accuracy to avoid either the heavy rough or the quarry itself.
Try it! You'll like it!

Too long away!

I hadn't played 49'r for a couple years as it was having some issues. I'd heard the new owner had done a lot of good work and that the course was really shaping up so I picked up a tee time. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience! Fairways and greens were in good shape. Lot's of improvements in place and lots of improvements taking place in both the course and clubhouse.
Greens were cut a little long, but being the "snow-bird season" the course was getting a lot of play. Traps were "sandy" and well kept...... I discovered that too often. Overall a very enjoyable 18 holes.

Fun layout!

Tree lined, water and sand can sometimes make for a long day on the course but Blackmoor is set up to challenge you with these conditions but not beat you to death with them. Greens putt true and fairways are accommodating if you can hit it reasonably straight.
Well maintained and pleasant to the eye, Blackmoor is a fun outing for all levels of golfers!

Greens in pretty good shape and putt very true.

I've played this course a few times over the past 20 years and it's always been a good challenge. The layout is good and there are some tough holes as you transition from the front to the back 9. The fairways and rough are in need of attention. They have let them go so there is a lot of patchy grass and clover intermixed. The rough is really patchy!
The greens are in good shape and putt well.
My wife and I played 18 holes with a cart for less than $50 total so I'm not complaining about the value (or anything else).
