Ledges Golf Club
Played On 11/17/2015Great views
For late November the course was in great shape. Most of the leaves were blown off the course but if your ball rolled into the woods forget it. The course is challenging enough to keep it interesting but not overwhelming. Some holes are rather short but offer a challenge by requiring layups to avoid bunkers and waste areas. The views of wetlands and Mt Tom are awesome. I had a very enjoyable time even though I was playing by myself.
I didn't eat in the restaurant, so I am leaving that category blank.
Cold Spring Country Club

I have played this course 3 times this year and I have had a ball each time. I enjoy a course where the holes make you say "Oh, wow" when you get to the tee. The challenges vary from forced carries, to huge traps to extreme elevation changes and the views are often gorgeous, especially in the Fall. It might be a bit quirky for some players with 6 par three holes and 5 par 5 holes but I think that is part of its charm.
The course conditions are terrific, even in November and the greens and traps are among the best I have ever played. One note, the holes are sometimes pretty far apart and there are a lot of hills. This isn't a course for walkers unless you are young and in good shape.
I think this is a must play venue for every area golfer.
I haven't eaten there, so I can't really comment on the restaurant , but the views are great.
Mill Valley Country Club

As an intermediate senior golfer I found the course to be challenging and fun. You have to be pretty precise with your shots or you can get into a lot of trouble with narrow fairways and thick woods. The course is very hilly and has some pretty views. For me a cart was a must, not a course for walking unless you are very fit. It is the type of course that makes you want to come back because you just know you can do better. I recommend trying it out. At Golf Now's price of$10 for 18 holes with a cart how can you beat it?
