Seaview - The Pines Course
Played On 07/22/2021torn up tee boxes
The fairways and greens were in great shape. The bunkers were a little inconsistent, some were fantastic soft sand while other greenside bunkers were hard pan. The tee boxes, however, were in absolutely horrible shape. Torn up with very few places of grass left.
Once you got off the teeboxes though it was in the good shape that what i would expect from this resort.
Trump National Golf Club - Philadelphia
Played On 09/15/2020beautiful routing and bunkers
This course has some amazing routing and bunkering. It also has some great tee and approach shots throughout the course. I wish I would have bought a yardage book because of the amount of doglegs to save myself from hitting through a few of the fairways. All of the staff was very friendly, and after the round we had some lunch where I enjoyed one of the best sandwiches I've ever had, all while overlooking the Philly skyline.
Hidden Creek Golf Club

This Coore Crenshaw design is in immaculate shape. The course carves it way through the back woods of Atlantic County with a great mix of wide open fairways but with narrow rough and tree lines on the other side, the hazards will punish you severely if you miss the short grass. The greens are large but with many frozen waves and false fronts they are easy to 3-putt for bogey golfers like me. The greens roll fast and true with almost no ball marks due to minimal play and great maintenance.
The clubhouse was closed on this day due to covid restrictions but it’s a great place to hang out and the men’s locker room is top notch. Make sure you try the proprietary peanuts and ask the locker room attendant about the story behind them.
If you ever have the opportunity to play this course, do not miss it.
McCullough's Emerald Golf Links

The grounds crew put a lot of work into the course over the forced break due to covid-19. Upgraded cart paths, irrigation, and reseeding of the rough where carts used to be able to enter and exit the fairways. The course is in the best shape I've ever seen it in the 5 years I've been playing there.
The restaurant/bar was just completely remodeled by a new owner bringing in more options and a better interior layout.

We were the first group out on a Sunday morning and could not have had a better time. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the course was in excellent shape from the driving range to the 18th green. I enjoyed the mix of hole layouts; I shoot to a 15.1 GHIN handicap and found the course challenging yet still score able even for my handicap. Cost was on the higher end compared to courses in the area, but our 5-some group all felt that we got great value and fun for our money.
This was my third trip to Myrtle Beach and so far I haven't repeated any courses, but I will play this course again!
