Gaylord Springs Golf Links

Played On 06/20/2018Don’t miss the fairway. Put driver away.
Very tight course and not very long. You better hit it in the fairway because the houses are 20 feet from the fairway and they let the brush grow pretty heavy on the edge of the course. A lot of doglegs and the course will push your ball into the rough/houses because the ground leans toward out of boinds Insted of towards the course. A lot of elevation changes. The fairways were very nice but the ground is hard unserneath. The greens were fast and rolled good but do not get above the hole or you aren’t stopping the putt. I was a little irritated at the grounds crew on one hole because one of them was cutting grass in front of the tee box and I had to wait for him to move because he wasn’t paying attention. Pro shop guy was really friendly.

the course is phenomenal. When you pull in you think the place is closed but once you get on the course you don't really care about the "clybhouse". The course conditions were top notch. Definitely worth the drive. Very hilly and lots of doglegs. Every hole is interesting and challenging. Greens were in great shape but slow.

i like the layout. A little disappointed with the conditions- most likely from the crazy weather we have had lately. The greens were really dry and hard and fast! Most of the time I felt the urge to roll my ball in the fairway because they were dried out mud and the grass looks "trampled" down. Probably should be cart path only until conditions improve. The driving range is teeny tiny.
Oak Hills Golf Course
Played On 06/29/2014Great greens fairways rough
The fairways were thick as a first cut of rough and greens were slow (but in good shape).I thoroughly enjoyed the course however because I had to think about my shots. Hole 2 quite frankly is one of the most difficult par 5's in Nashville, but the fairway is shot (just move your ball to a decent spot). The greens were very tricky and the course has a lot of hills, doglegs, and quite goofy in areas. If you need a place to play for inexpensive and just to have fun, play this course. I am a single digit handicap and enjoyed the course. If you are a spoiled snob 10-20 handicapper wanting to bash a local course, don't play here, there are plenty of courses to pay $30-$40 on Golf Now - the reviews I read irritated me after playing the course.

Played On 06/08/2014Beautiful course and challenging
The only complaint about this course is having to drive to Dickson. It is worth the drive, however. First off all the driving range is excellent and you can hit as many as you want before and after your round. Practice greens are better than most courses' playing greens. Every hole on this course is interesting and challenging. Hole 9 if you hit driver (par 5) over 270 yards, you may end up on a bad lie. Hole 12 (par 5) has large boulders to the right and in the middle of the fairway and if you hit the ball in the 300 yard range you may end up on or around one of them. This course is just under the caliber of Gaylord or Hermitage, but very close.

I paired up with 3 other players. The course was in better shape than a lot of Nashville courses I've seen recently. Fairways had some patchy areas, but otherwise were good. Greens were nice, but a little firm for the ball to land on. A good challenge and a lot of elevation changes. Cannot beat the $24 I payed.
Thank you ob1kinooby for the course feedback regarding your recent visit with us at Cypress Lakes. We hope to see you again soon for an improved experience on your next round.
