Indian Palms Golf & Country Club - Indian/Mountain
Played On 11/25/2016Enjoyable golf
Pleasantly surprised with our experience, begining with dropping off of clubs, and onward. Kind and smiling faces met us at each turn, not a common occurrence!
Before golf lunch exceeded expectation. Great taste, good price.
Greens consistent and FAST. Bunkers inconsistent in soil depth and condition. Hazards inadequately displayed (cards) and marked (red posts).
Many tight fairways, fun for experienced but tough on 'newbies'.
Our threesome, ranged from handicap 9 to 25, were very happy with experience. Thank you.
Vistal Golf Club
Played On 03/30/2015Good value for money
Course is located in beautiful setting with great views of South Mountain as well as downtown Phoenix!
Greens are in great shape, fast but fair. Fairways are good to average. Bunkers are a challenge with poor soil, lumpy and firm.
Pace of play could be enhanced with an occasional Ranger coming through to speed it up with a word to the"deliberate" slow player. 4 hour and 45 minutes is entirely too slow in 95 degree weather!
All of the staff, from check in to pro shop to beverage cart and snack bar were Top Drawer! Truly a delight in their waiting on us. Thank you for a memorable outing.
Creekside Golf & Country Club
Played On 10/07/2014Local tournament caused great delays!
The price was right but the playing conditions were not. I bought a tee time for 1148 and was advised when I checked in at 1040 that a tournament had shotgunned on first 12 holes and at some "unknown" time would pass through the first tee.
The counter man did come out to the parking lot once to give an update at 12:15, and made some announcements over the PA system. The PA was absolutely worthless, could not understand because of too much squelch.
I finely got off on number 1 at 12:35. Play was extremely slow with as many as 3 groups at times backed up on the same hole. No evidence of marshals during the whole round. I completed play at 5 minutes after 5 pm.
When using Golf Now, there is no way to know that you will be following a tournament, and that is very poor!
Great Value for Money!
Played as a single for $17 all up! Tee off at 2 pm off white tees, played through 4 groups and finished 18 holes at 3:50 pm! All golfers were courteous and hastened me to play through. The greens and fairways are in good condition and readily read. Viewing the occasional alligator is a 'plus'. Wonderful time.
