Great mountain course with great staff. Pleasure to play there. Take a camera. Scenery was majestic

Liked the layout. Several target holes that made you think before you swung your club. Greens had a number of old hole locations that needed to be repaired. Givin the recent tropical storm , the course was still very playable. I will play there again.

The starter is friendly and knowledgable. He know how to pair players up so that they play compatibly. The course is fair , but the greens are rather slow.

In every way, this is a fair course with a great layout and kept in immaculate shape. If you love golf and visit this area, Esplanade is a must play.

All courses in Upstate New York have been very wet this Spring. Rogues Roost is no exception. Having said that, the course is very fair, the staff are very pleasant, and the greens are quick and true. I know from past experience at the East course that the greens have a uniform speed and hold every time you play there. Spring, Summer and Fall. Fast and receptive! Really like this course.

I played 10 courses in the Sarasota area in the last two weeks. This was easily the course in the worst condition. Fairways were dry and ragged, traps were totally unkempt, and the greens were so slow you had to swing the putter to traverse the fuzzy terrain. Totally disappointing especially given the fact that the course layout is challenging. Get a better maintenance staff and greens keeper and spend some money and this could be a very good track.
