Would be a good course for just about everyone. Really long hitters may not find it challenging enough. Greens we’re true and fast !!!

It has been a decade since I played here. I didn’t like it before but they continue to make improvements.
Course layout can be challenging if you don’t keep it straight off the tee. I would recommend a “golf app” or a range finder if it is your first time playing here.
Greens were in beautiful shape.

This is our 4th time at Ventana Mountain.
Great layout.
Greens died with the snow over the last weekend.
They looked black vs green.
Greens did NOT hold a ball at all.
Ridiculous fast.
Puts rolled off the green on some holes.
As great as the starter was with information,
he did not prepare us at all for the speed of the greens.
Beautiful day. Very frustrating.

Different layout, two par 5s on front and back in first 4 holes.
NO on course or at the turn beverage or snacks.
As a whole in good shape.
Mostly retirees.
Had to start on hole 10, #1 handicap

first time to play the course. Played with someone who had been there before. Select the right set of tees for your play and it will be enjoyable. Beautiful vistas, not the standard desert view. Had a $2 yardage book which helped on the layout. plus some yardage.

We came from Minnesota. It could be a warm up course. Flat, not what I came AZ for. Could play something like this in Minnesota. Greens putted ok, but didn't hold shots well. A lot of hit short of green and let them roll or bounce up. Fairly large driving range. Lots of Seniors.

There is no helper sheet, yardage book, or GPS as help for the course. Something like that would really help. Pin location sheet is kind of "Mickey Mouse" . Conditions were great. Views are great. Greens really held a shot. Played Rattler and Roadrunner. Heard from local that Coyote is the better 9. Next day played Ventana Canyon next day for $40 more. I would definitely spend the money to play there than go back to Starr Pass.
