The winter overseed on the fairways is very nice but that's about it. Greens are bumpy and speed varies each hole. Tee boxes are bomb craters with even tree roots right across the tee line. Bunkers are solid rock with grass growing up out of them.

Luckily the course was nearly empty and we played in just under 4 hours.

Hadn't played here in a couple of years. Was very disappointed. I was one of 4 singles in our group. The play was so slow that 1 player dropped out after 9 another after 13. No attempt by marshalls to move play along. The conditions of the course were very poor. The greens although fast, were cratered with ball marks making for a bumpy putt. Very little grass was apparent. Unless you were on an overseeded portion of the fairway you played on dirt or dead grass.

I won't be back.

What a difference a month makes. I played here last month and the course was in great condition. Weeds everywhere and un-mowed fairways. The greens are sandy green spots. Nothing but bumps and burned out grass. No beverage cart. Even though there wasn't anyone else playing, the front desk wouldn't let us go out until our tee time because we had hot deals.

The course is very nice with enough challenges to keep it interesting. Main problem is 4 somes of ancients that hold up play. Wait on every shot. Course was very wet from rains and mowing hadn't happened for some time.

I do like playing C Ranch but I get really ticked off when no mention of green punching is mentioned on their website or on GolfNow. The greens had been recently punched and not very well sanded so it will take longer to heal. No discount was given nor was there a sign at the proshop warning of of the conditions.

90 degree rule today so pace of play was fair. Tee boxes and fairways arein very good shape. The greens are softand a bit fuzxy still. There are also several greens with burmed out "crust" around the edges. Otherwise a decent track.

Considering the heat the course was in pretty good shape. The cart paths are a wreck you may lose a kidney if you drive to fast. On a couple of holes there was a very foul smell coming i believe from some ponds, i mean a real stinker. Played in less than 4 hours. Unfortunately their 19th hole is closed.

Played as a single as the 3some paired with me got busted for trying to bring 12 packs of beer with them. Course was in pretty good shape considering the heat. My only beef is that the desk would not let me check in until 15 minutes before my tee time as I purchased a hot deal. So I come back and the desk tells me no problem he'll tell the starter, just go play. Really!?

The course was in absolutely great shape. Very little summer burn at all. Greens were fast and smooth. Played 18 holes by myself in 3 hours. Well worth the drive.

This course has been on my have to play list. Fantastic course and was in excellent condition considering 100+ degrees. This course is tough, bring your A game.

The course was in very good shape for being close to 100 degrees. Staff was friendly and helpful. Pace of play was OK but some waiting on holes. Front side more of a links style, the back side is built for mountain goats but the views are spectacular. Would definitely play again.

Tried Dorado as my wife prefers an executive course. She loved it. I found it good for some short game work but for the $40 it was a bit over priced. The course was in pretty good shape. The greens are small which does add to the challenge. Not a place to pull driver unless you are very accurate as the course is narrow. If they offered a hotdeal I might consider going back.

Just a simple 9 hole pitch and putt that you play through twice. Most greens are domed so challenging to hold. Few people play so you can take your time and work a couple of balls on each hole. I bring a few wedges and work on my short game. Price is steep for a short course so look for a hotdeal.

From the very first tee the pace was terrible. Had to wait on every shot. Marshall drives around but does nothing.
The course itself is a nice track. Reasonably challenging. Nice sandwich bar for the turn to grab some food. Probably won't play again unless the pace is better.

Even though it was a Saturday it wasn't that busy. A group 3 ahead of us was causing the problem. We waited on every tee. Our group and the group a head of us spoke to the ranger but he wasn't going to do anything.

Condition of the course was so so. Slow greens and lumpy tee boxes. Kudos to the cart girl, she was very nice.

Course and conditions were fine for a hot June day. Pace of play was not. No Marshall until the 18 hole.

Nice secluded course with elevation changes a great views. The course was in fine shape. Bunkers basically groomed hard-pan however . Staff was friendly. Will play there again.

Decided to come back after not playing here for about 2 years due to the very poor course conditions at that time. Recent reviews said things were much better. They are NOT. Greens are fine but the fairways are spotty at best. Bunkers are dry dirt bowls. No cart girl on a Saturday. Not all the water jugs had water. Pace of play was very slow due to "less skilled" players not playing at a normal pace and no Marshall to do anything. Will not be back until it becomes a more of a course with minimum standards being met.

Yes it is not cheap to play here but the experience is well worth it. From the curb side service, to the personalized bag tag to practice tee attendant to the guy who cleans your clubs it was outstanding. The course is so beautiful it is almost distracting. If you want to play the same course that the major champions play, book it during your stay on Kauai you won't regret it.

I don't normally write a bad review and this course is one that I like to play. However, something is terrible wrong with the course conditions. The greens are atrocious. Crows were all over the first green tearing it up. It was soggy and full of dead spots. That same thing was noted on most of the greens on the front side. The back side had some fair greens but if I had known of these conditions I would never have played even if it was free.
