Never Again!

The day started ok and started everyone on the back nine as they explained from time to time they do back nine starts. Tee'd off on time behind a 2some and we were a 4some. Got to the second tee and 2some was still there. Thus began the theme of the afternoon, we waited on every shot. This was not the 2some's fault they were waiting for the 3some in front of them and then tracking holes I could see there was another 2some in front of them. Why not hold back a group and combine 2somes's into 4somes to pace groups better. We also saw what we thought was a marshall and asked him about the slow play and he just shrugged and said were busy. 2hrs45min for to complete the back nine(1st9). got to the 1st hole(turn) and 2some was on the tee box, 3some was in the fairway and group ahead leaving the green, we decided in order to even finish our round we had to play the back nine again. BTW we finished that as a foursome in 1hr30min. Terrible when you think about coming to such a place as Angeles National that you'd have to play the same nine again. Terribly managed, the staff is rude and just have a place to work.
I don't care if it's free I will never play this course again unless it sells and goes under new management. DON"T WASTE YOUR MONEY! too many other great course in the area.

Great Course, Very well maintained!

Played the snow course on a Hot tee time from GN. Not sure how this course stacks up with the others 2 courses on the property, but this was very nice. #10 with the water all the way down the left side of the fairway was a very nice hole and stood out along with the Par 3 on the back that had all water carry. I will definitely be adding this property to play golf at when I visit Vegas. Don't think twice, play here.

Groups of 5 at 630am

Horrible that you come out at 630am and are part of a five some. So slow on the weekends here even that early. I will never play the course again. Course conditions are ok, too many tee boxes with over hanging trees makes it a little unfair at times. Staff on the course were very nice and friendly.

I've had this experience too, but oddly enough it's wide open in the afternoon. Just played Sunday at 12:44 and the course was wide open! Played there twice in the past few weeks in early or mid afternoon, while hot, it was extremely fast play. We crept up on the group in front of us and they happily waived us through. I too like the course, hate the greens, but a fun track. After many jam packed mornings, I tried the afternoon and it was night and day. But I'm going to start posting pictures of the greens in hopes they might address it . . . otherwise a fun place.

Could be so much more!

First impression was the canyons and hills. It was beautiful. Then i saw the course and was reminded of what happens to a course that has lost attention. Bunkers feel like fine dirt not sand. I was told by the NICE guy in the proshop to wait for another single to cart up with and that i was in a foursome. I went to the DR before the round and arrived at the starter 20 min before the start time. told him i was the 1pm tee and that i was supposed to pair up with another guy. So i putted while waiting and saw several groups come up and then leave without him saying anything. I then approached him and asked what tee time those were and he told me the last group to go off was 110pm. he said my guy never showed up so he just let me sit there while the rest of the 1pm group left. I don't mind playing by myself but its not as fun and if i have a bunch of groups to play through thats no fun either. What a way to stat this day a golf. If you're thinking this is going to look like the pics on the website you're going to be dissapointed. I was. Tee boxes were not great, Fairways were very patchy and weeds are starting to take over, Greens were in good shape though.

At this price and experience i would not golf here again. I played the Sky course
