We got in on a twilight 12:52 pm deal that made this a superior for the money

We enjoyed this course. The fairways and greens were in excellent shape. Not an exciting course for the front nine. Fairly standard with good bunkers and slightly tiered greens. The back nine was much more challenging because the green had false fronts and were domed. It also had 3 of the hardest par 3’s we had encountered in the last year. Two were 100% over water and the third was over 200 yards from the whites. Not complaining about the par 3’s. They just added to the course interest. I would play this course again. It was an amazing value. Staff was great.

Course was in good shape

The course was in very good shape. Especially the greens. Summer grass was really greening up. The course was nicely dry even though the spring has been wet.

Course appears to not have winter over seeding. Lots of bare spots

The customer service was almost nonexistent. The some total of conversation with the golf course staff was the guy that told me what our cart number was then he walked off. No starter and no directions. After the first three holes being cart path only we called the golf shop and asked if the whole course was cart path only. The person said no just the first four holes. He lied. Over half the holes were cart path only and most fairways had large bare spots. It looked like no winter over seeding was done. The sand traps had about a quarter inch of sand over hard pan. I would not recommend this course this year because the resort is almost shutdown and course conditions show it

Enjoyable round Lakes/Palms courses

We arrived and the drop off area and the Club house is designed for residence. When we checked in and got our cart everyone was really friendly and helpful. We played the Lakes and Palms courses. They also have a Sonoran 9. The blue tees are about equal to white tees at other areas but I am not a 7000 yard hitter so that is fine with me. The red/gold tees were fair for women (accord to my spouse). The course was in great shape but they were still where in cart path only from winter grass over seeding. The fairways were medium wide and the Lakes had water on all holes. The Lakes was the harder of the two 9’s and all greens had many bunkers protecting them on both 9’s. The greens were not flat but they where not extreme either. I really enjoyed the greens because they were fair but not easy. My spouse and I really enjoyed the round overall.

Course was in excellent condition

The condition of the fairways were spectacular. We really like the course design. The greens are small and narrow but not impossible. The views are really great. We would play this course again in a heartbeat. The elevation changes create variations in the green speeds.

North boulders Course

I would give the tee boxes and fairways 4 to 5 stars. They were in excellent shape. The greens were average to below average. Quite a few spots with grass patches near the edges. I guess that is why they are starting to aerate the greens. The aeration is posted on their website. The north course does not have the scenic beauty of the pictures of the south course. We played 18 in four hours so that was great. The staff was friendly and helpful. They need to coordinate tier two beer carts better. We saw one on the third hole of the front nine. The back nine we saw the beer carts three times. This is just a comment and not really a complaint. We paid 55 per person at the start of summer so I would play again at this rate. Longbow was about the same rate and is in better shape overall.

A well designed resort course

The Legacy is a nice challenging resort course. It has a lot of sand traps but unfortunately they have very little sand in them. That is the only complaint I have about this course. The greens are well designed and are interesting. Playing the course more than once helps because many greens are easier if you approach them from the correct direction. The Legacy personnel were all very nice and do a great job. I have played this course a few times and it has been in very good shape every time.
