Oaks at Ft. Walton Beach Golf Club
Played On 02/14/2024Vista Plantation Golf Course
Played On 03/04/2022Even though this is a short executive course (4 Par 4's on each 9; no Par 5's) it has some challenging tee shots. There's lots of water on the course and "carries" with narrow alternate rescue directions to avoid the "carries." Also, the greens (and fairways) were hard and fast. The greens are relatively small and were hard to hold approach shots. I found the round very challenging for my skills, but thoroughly enjoyed the challenge and the play!

Played On 01/06/2021Good Place To Practice
This is an executive golf course. The Par 4"s are less than 300 yds. The tee shots from the back tees generally average between 120-30 yds. The greens are rather bumpy and rather slow. However, this was a very good place for practice. I was able to play by myself and therefore, I played two balls easily keeping up with the twosome in front of me. I need to go out there everyday to play a round like this in order to improve/practice my game/shots. It would be too expensive to play a course like this for what I paid. I'm used to playing good championship courses for what I paid here.
Meadows/Oaks Golf Course at Pennbrooke Fairways
Played On 05/08/2020Disappointed
Not the plushest course in the world. It was ok, but lots of bare spots. Front 9 we played was a regulation/championship course. But, then, the back 9, we were on an executive course with only 3 Par 4's and no Par 5's. We didn't know that when we booked. Disappointed!
Lexington Oaks Golf Club
Played On 11/21/2019Good Memory Dividends Deposited!
For the money one can't do any better than Lexington Oaks! This was our third time to play Lexington, but the first time to play from the gold tees. Even moving up a tee box, this 70 yr. old found all the challenge for my age and skill level. At any age and skill level, hitting from the appropriate tee box at Lexington Oaks will meet one's expectations in having fun, but yet, still provide a golfing challenge. Lexington is a great layout!
A sunny, low to mid 70's, low humidity day, my buddy and I had a "Chamber of Commerce Florida" day to play golf. We could not have withdrawn a better playing day from any drive-thru weather teller!
One can play on more cushy and plush fairways, but again, especially for the money, the fairways were quite adequate. The greens were in excellent condition and pretty doggone fast. We learned quickly to hit in front of the pin a good distance to allow for the roll out.
Pace of play was excellent. We never had a long wait in front of us. We did allow a couple of singles to play through on the back nine.
The front desk lady who checked us in could not have been more knowledgeable, accommodating, and personable. She was a good omen that the golf round/market was going to produce good dividends on this particular day!.
November 21, 2019, is a day of golf that will be long remembered...not for the score, but for the outright fun in pleasant conditions with a good friend. After all, that's the reason we're out there. A great time was deposited in both of our memory banks.at Lexington Oaks! No doubt, the score of the round will decrease over time just as interest accrues in bank accounts. No doubt, the fun we had will compound, likewise, as time passes!
This was done during banking hours! There was still time to go out to dinner! :-)

Good value for a nice round of golf! Not a premium course, but for the average golfer is just fine!
WILL GO BACK!
Good Course! Will go back! The fairways and greens were in excellent condition. The roughs were splotchy and dry and not good grass, which effected the appearance and play. Overall, the round of golf was a pleasant experience, although very challenging for my skill level!
Diamond Hill Golf & Country Club
Played On 01/15/2018Hard Surfaces and Hardpan!
Lots of hardpan on the course. Lots of roll on fairways, but you had better place the ball in a good position. There are overhanging limbs--too often--on the fairway. If you have even a slight slice/hook the rool-off will get you in deep-deep trouble. Greens were hard, too, and would not hold. Adjustment had to be made for shots into the green!

GreyStone Golf Club
Played On 03/16/2013Too challenging for weekend golfer!
Extremely hilly! Lots of blind shots. Large bunkers in the fairway and around the greens. Long holes! Target golf ! Have to be an accurate target shot golfer from all kinds of lies on hills. Greens are extremely good, but firm and fast. Course was in generally good condition, but areas in fairways were soft, muddy-mushy. Fairways and greens had been aerated, so rolling over small holes was there for the round. Course is very scenic which adds enjoyment to the round. It's too challenging a course for my skill set, however. I won't go back here until my game improves greatly.
Thanks so much for the great review, jimhannaford. We look forward to welcoming you back to our course soon. Thanks for choosing Vista Plantation Golf Course.
