Nice layout, a bit too flat maybe but good condition with excellent pace of play.

Average course with very inconsistent fairways and some spotty tees. Nice layout but needs a big overhaul to make it a ‘must play’!

Looks like lots of ‘winter kill’ in fairways and some greens. Have to play preferred lies or you’re hitting off hard, bare ground. Place not busy in mid-season and I can see why!

Mud balls, mud balls, mud balls!!! Unless it’s a par 3 hole you have to clean off chunks of mud on every tee shot or approach to the green.

Course in excellent condition especially the greens—very consistent and smooth/fast.

Course was cart path only due to previous day’s showers & poor course drainage. Terrible customer service @ check-in and a rude, curt employee (I think was head pro) who obviously didn’t want to be there. The golf cart had break problems and the cart paths were in absolutely the worst condition possible—dug up, rutted out, had big rocks on them and mostly torn completely up! What a mess! With a lot of work, course could be made worth the price but right now it’s rip-off city!!

Worse cart paths I’ve every seen—and it was “carts path only” after heavy storms night prior to playing! If you didn’t drive REALLY SLOWLY on the cart paths you would’ve needed seat belts to avoid being thrown from the cart—they were that bad!
Pro shop personnel curt, unfriendly and taking phone calls first befOre waiting on customers. Nowhere near worth the money to play!! A waste of time & money!

Took almost 2:45 to play front, then back got even slower!…quit after 13 holes. Ranger said there was a ‘bachelor party group on back nine slowing everyone down & he couldn’t do anything. Management ought to decide if they want the course for drunk, loud parties or for public golf…you won’t get my business, that’s for sure! But one good thing I did get from my visit—I’m SO glad I didn’t sign up for a ‘Ranch Card’!!!

Nice conditions except for a few wet spots in middle of fairways

Not much to say here except the greens were very good but the rest of the course...bland & in need of better conditioning.

Because it just opened I'm sure they want the greens to grow in & have a good root structure. Fairways wide & in great shape, layout very nice & overall experience positive. Worth the drive!

In spite of a picturesque backdrop of Mt.Shasta on almost every hole, this course needs much work to merit a return visit. Greens were extremely slow with some brown patches, pace of play excruciatingly slow (they allowed a fivesome on an early Friday afternoon!), the course infrastructure badly worn & tired (wooden steps rotting, bridgework rusting & half the ball washers without water), no Ranger to move play along and several holes badly in need of tree trimming make this course a 'one & done' for me. Part of the reason for the slow play probably due to the difficulty of the course since several holes have VERY narrow fairways, which has been exacerbated by tree branch growth over the years. Despite the shortness of this course ( barely 6,000 yards from the blue tees & at high altitude) it invites slow play with all the blind shots and up & down holes. NOT a nice 'walk in the park' experience!

Bring your A game here. Every hole has at least one shot requirement that, if not executed correctly, will result in double bogey or more! If you thought Pete Dye was evil then the late Mike Strantz has him one-upped on this one. Must be experienced to be believed. Tip: choose your tee box wisely!

Better bring your'A' game to this tract & choose the right tees! Hardly a 'breather' hole on this course & if you thought Pete Dye was evil, Mike Strantz has him one-upped on this one! Every hole presents a challenge where just one bad shot will result in double bogey or worse...if you can break 80 here, consider it an accomplishment!

Tees & fairways in ok condition but greens were a mess! Rolling maybe 3 &1/2 out of 12 and pock-marked in several locations. Would not play again in those conditions at any price!
