Cumberland Trails is an interesting course that is typically in great shape, well priced and staffed by exceptionally friendly people.

I was visiting San Diego and wanted an early tee time on New Year’s Day. Many of the more heralded courses could not accommodate, so I tried Native Oaks. Let’s start with the staff. The ProShop, starter and snack bar were all incredibly pleasant and welcoming. You warm up on mats but the course has trackman at every station, pretty cool. The fairways and greens were in incredible shape.. only complaint, some bunkers needed a little care., however, not enough for me to be any less enthusiastic. It is an interesting track which requires some thought navigating around. Not long but certainly narrow with challenging hazards. Two different nines but still harmonious in design. I highly recommend

Riverwalk is conveniently located near downtown San Diego. The course is low on frills but has a solid layout with great undulating greens and a creek that winds through course. Course was very wet and cart path only, not sure it was necessary since most golfers ignored.

Solid mountain golf course that should be played more than once. It is extremely challenging and you certainly must be careful and strategic in club selection. Toward end of season so a little dry but the greens and fairways are all noteworthy. Putting is a challenge given the undulation and speed of the greens. I certainly lost some golf golfs on this one.

Excellent course with nice amenities, especially for a municipal track. The layout had some easy holes that were parkland style, adjacent fairways but enough water and island type greens, tee boxes to make the course particularly interesting. Greens were pure with some trick undulation, especially close to the holes. Outstanding pro shop and clubhouse. Certainly would recommend.

Solid course. Layout interesting, not overly difficult until you get to the greens….,,,big, fast, lots of undulation.

Good track that is interesting and fair. The course conditions are always above average and the price point is reasonable.

A significant number of holes had been prepped for renovation. Playable but $180 for the current course conditions was a sham. I had heard that try here might be some issues, called ahead and truth was somewhat obfuscated.. I could have played elsewhere, cheaper.

Great track which was in excellent condition. Pace of play was perfect. We never waited nor did anyone ever wait for us. Certainly a links style course. You have a fair amount of freedom off the tee, mostly wide fairways with little trouble.

I had never played Cumberland Trails. It is a fair course with the right amount of challenge. It is well maintained and offered at a reasonable price.

A great layout. Incredible elevation changes. A very hilly course with small greens. Unfortunately, the course is poorly maintained. Hopefully the city will refurbish like it has other munis because the layout is attractive.
