Alden Pines Country Club
Played On 08/06/2020Horrible shape
The staff is friendly and the price acceptable, but the course is in horrendous shape. Many "fairways" are really just sand with patches of long grass here and there. The greens are decent. Overall, really needs some heavy duty TLC before I would return.
Glen Eagle Golf & Country Club
Played On 08/17/2019Great
Played here on the PGA Pass. Very nice course! A little big short and gimmicky, but lots of fun. And maybe the biggest and best-stocked golf shop I've seen in the area!
Forest Glen Golf & Country Club
Played On 11/21/2016Great!
This was my first time playing here and I was very impressed. I was a single so I was paired up with 3 friendly members. The front nine is long and extremely difficult and will kill you if you don't know the course. The back nine gets a little bit goofy and gimmicky, so I definitely liked the front more. The conditions were exquisite! Pro shop was very friendly.
Island Dunes Country Club
Played On 10/23/2016Hidden gem
A true little hidden gem. Island Dunes has more life in it's par 31, 9 hole course than most 18 hole championship courses. Numbers 8 and 9 are truly fantastic holes and are as beautiful as any Florida hole I have ever seen. Number 7 is a beautiful bear of a hole. Every hole here has a challenge and there are no boring holes. The greens are small, sloped and perched, and are hard to hit and even harder to hold. About the only flaw is that the place takes itself a bit seriously. But justifiably so. This course takes public play in the off season, only in the A.M. $17 for 9 holes and $24 for 18 holes. The course is in spectacular shape, except for some drainage issues on number 7. Pro shop is fully stocked and there is a restaraunt. A must play if you are in the area!
Jensen Beach Golf Club
Played On 10/22/2016Great effort!
The new management has pumped a lot of cash into this course and is obviously trying very hard to bring it back. Fairways were quite patchy on some of the holes, but Rome wasn't built in a day. Greens were pristine and the new sand is very nice and soft. If anything they need to work on their drainage system, I think that is the culprit for the patchy fairways, as the ones on higher ground were pretty much pristine. Bring tons of balls! And don't take the 16 handicap on number 14 seriously. It is very hard!
The Summit Golf Club
Played On 09/17/2016Excellent shape!
The greenskeeping here is on par with some of the upscale resort courses up north. The course itself is good but flawed. Holes 15 and 17 are downright ridiculous. But still I always enjoy coming here and I try to make it here at least a few times a year. I always try to walk it too to give myself some challenge.
Arbor Pointe Golf Club
Played On 08/17/2016Great little gem
This course is well worth the price and is quite a hidden gem. A nice combination of wooded holes and holes that wind through houses. Will be back.
Bluff Creek Golf Course
Played On 07/23/2016Overpriced
The course is nothing special except for a few excellent holes. It's in just average shape and it is overpriced. I've played less expensive courses that have been in noticeably better shape than this.
Golden Valley Golf & Country Club
Played On 05/09/2016Not the best private course around
The clubhouse and amenities are fabulous. But the course is quite gimmicky and unforgiving. There are better private courses around.
Cross Creek Country Club
Played On 11/30/2015Always love playing here
This is a great little course and I always love playing here when I am in Florida. Bring lots of balls. Especially if you are erratic with your irons.
