Glen Garden Golf & Country Club

This course is a great reminder of what golf was in the early 1900's. Built in 1912, and home to a young Byron Nelson and Ben Hogan. The course isn't difficult but it's a fun place to play. The staff is super friendly as they always have been to me and any group I've ever played with there. The restaurant in the club house is still like it was when this was a private club so it's far more extensive than just hot dogs and sandwiches.

The course was in great shape. The work the owners have been doing are showing. The greens were soft and accepting during my round. The fairways were in good shape and not all marked up, which considering they had had a couple of tournaments recently it was in very good shape.

I play this course as often as I can get out there. The staff is always friendly and the course has never been in bad shape any time I've ever been out there. When my dad and I went this time, some of the other golfers out there were a little less than courteous but that is not the fault of the course. It was a Sunday in the upper 60's in January with no football on so we expected it to be busy and it was. The bacon cheeseburger at the turn was good as always. I think they give too many chips, but thats a personal opinion, because I never can eat all of them.
