One of Nebraska's finest! Not far off I-80, it would be a crime for the avid golfer to play Quarry Oaks. Terrific layout, beautiful conditions, much wildlife, and Great holes!

Also, don't miss Iron Horse (very close to Quarry Oaks) or Wild Horse (Gothenburg NE, on I-80)

These are the 3 best public courses in NE. All worth the price of admission!

VERY difficult course!

There are a BILLION dandelions on this course!
REALLY?!? You can't spray for dandelions?!?!
TIGHT landing area's, often aiming at a Flag atop a dirt hill. Lot's of blind shots!
THIS COURSE IS IN TERRIBLE SHAPE, and won't be ready until AT LEAST mid-July.

My favorite course, and I've played a handful that have hosted Major Championships!
A tale of two 9's.
The Front = older style, big trees, tighter and shorter holes. Amazing views! BE VERY CAREFUL with your cart! There are hilly areas and dangerous curves - easy to crash if not paying attention. I consider the front half Golf + NASCAR.
The Back - wider, bigger holes with a slight links feel.
Immaculate conditions and very pretty throughout!
Don't miss an opportunity to play Southern Hills!!!
I plan to retire in the Black Hills, in part because of this great golf course!

Great course! They market themselves as NE's only 5-star by Golf Digest (15 years ago-ish) Great (pre-paid) deals on golfnow.com, but a buddy paid $70 recently. With large unkept bunkers, it's more of a 3 star course, at best. I hit out of 3 footprints during my round. If they maintained the bunkers, it would be so much better!
