This course was truly better than I expected. Pace of play for a Sun City course was excellent and although the course didn’t offer many hard challenges it was still an enjoyable “parkland” style round. For longer hitters play the tips, any other tee makes this course a little short resulting in driver-wedge on each hole.

I should have known better, as a local I have played this course before and each time come away disgusted and vowing never to return. It’s hard to pass up a good rate though on GolfNow and especially after friends say the course has been “turned around”. The rough is completely dead while the fairways are so over watered that there are puddles and actual. Ud pits by the greens. And don’t wear a pair of shoes you value the goose poop that is literally everywhere clogs them up and will actually stain white shoes. Pace of play at this course seems a foreign concept and there isn’t a ranger in sight to help this at all. In short it’s only a value if you enjoy the course and your round and shame on me for getting suckered back in. This course is most definitely a pass.

This is the second time I have played the course, and unfortunately what I took for an anomaly the first time seems to be the pattern. The course itself is great and challenging. It’s the staff that ruins the experience. From the club drop off to the clubhouse and the rangers they all seemed irritated to be there and bothered by having to do their job. The club check in us gave me attitude because I had been paired with a group of thee that I didn’t know and I didn’t feel right taking the cart and his clubs to the range while he was eating as I hadn’t even met him. He continued to give me attitude about taking a spare cart to the range or having the starter come down and give me a ride but finally relented after continuing to tell me just to take the other gentleman’s cart. The clubhouse attendant was dismissive and barely looked up from the computer while I was checking in. Once on the course we were informed on the second green that we were five minutes behind by the ranger although the group in front of us was just on the tee of three. He then informed us when we stated this that they were actually five minutes ahead but we were still behind?? Surprisingly the only staff that were polite were the cart girls that managed to be courteous and nice without being pushy or to flirty they were simply good at their job. In short this course is a good challenge however for the drive and the price I won’t be back simply due to the staff ruining the experience.

I had recently played the south course and wanted to play the north to complete the experience (they have been re named). This is a resort course and plays as such,there are no real surprises or challenges and the fairways are wide enough to land a 737 in. The only challenge is the length and as long as you can hit a driver relatively straight this won't be a problem. That being said the par 3's are also ridiculously long (from the blacks) so maybe this is the entire theme. The staff is friendly and the course well maintained and you can get it for a great value in the summer so I wouldn't say to not play it just don't expect much from it.

I have played this course multiple times and this was my first negative experience. Arrived and went to warm up and there were no range balls stacked although there were range balls down range scattered about range balls have always been complimentary. Asked pro shop guys about this and was told " it's summer we don't do range balls in the summer no one does." I advised them this was the first I have ever heard of this and was told " we have never done range balls in the summer." I didn't even bring up the fact that last summer I played here and they had range balls or that there were currently range balls down range just walked out to stretch out. It was still half an hour till my tee time and they called myself and another single to the 1st tee. Not expecting this I walked into the clubhouse to use the facilities and as I was walking past the pro shop they again called me for the first tee, seriously it was thirty seconds ago and there was myself and one other person out by the range I get it for some reason your in a rush, why???? Once I got off the first tee though the course is beautiful and well maintained and I had it pretty much to myself the whole round. The attitude and behavior of the pro shop is disappointing as this course is beautiful and well worth the drive and money I will say however this was the only time I was treated this way so maybe it was just a bad day for the shop guys.

Excellent course for the money however they have no beverage cart on course. Overall a great course.

excellent course for the amount paid, a must for anyone in the valley that hasn't yet played it.

Arrived to the course on a Sunday afternoon, you would think since a weekend it would be properly staffed. No range available for warm ups employee stated their tractor was broken and he didn't want to have to pick up the balls. No beverage cart operating on the course and the cooler on the cart was filled with lukewarm water not ice. Most of the on course ball cleaners were also empty. On the upside it was only 15 bucks for eighteen so all things considered not that bad and the bag boy at the front was polite, perhaps he could give the management some lessons.

Course is good for the money. Well maintained with good fairways. Greens seemed a bit dry though.
