We last played Victoria Hills in the spring and it was and terrible shape...I heard they had just lost their superintendent. We waited a few months and tried it again in December...the greens are certainly better, but the fairways still have some bare sandy spots. It will need to get better before we return...there are other courses around that charge less and are in better shape.

Victoria Hills has always been one of my favorite courses to play, and you could always count on it to be in great shape. However, last weekend I played it for the first time in a while and was shocked at the terrible condition of the course. One of the "greens" was mostly dirt, and the pin was put in a narrow swath of grass growing through it. Some of the fairway bunkers were surrounded by tall weeds...honestly, parts of the rough looked like it hadn't been mowed in a month. I want to come back, but won't until management gets it back in shape. In the meantime, there are other courses I can play that are cheaper and in better shape.

MetroWest used to be in pristine shape, and when paying $60 for a round of golf you expect a good experience. Played on a Saturday morning. Arrived and no range balls. Greens are bumpy, and some of the areas around the greens were in rough shape (dirt patches, clover). A high school tournament was scheduled ahead of us, and they were walking, and that added about an hour to the round because we were waiting 5-10 minutes before teeing off on every hole. No drinking water on the course, no sand in the carts to repair divots. I could have played a faster round on a course in better shape for less money. I won’t be back any time soon.
