Played at 10:15 am. On a Friday. Pace was excellent. Greens rolling nice. Great layout. Lots of target golf challenges a golfer.

Pace so poor had to quit after a nearly 3 hour front nine! No visible marshal. Greens are concrete. Terrible pin placements always on a ridgetop.
I won't be returning anytime soon even though I live only 5 minutes away!

Bunkers are in need of improvement as are tee boxes.

Teeboxes are in terrible shape as are fairways. Greens seem to be only thing maintained

The good thing is the pace of play since no waiting on even one shot. Twosome played in 3 hours. Poor maintainance, some greens only had grass on 50% of surface, debris (tree) on many areas, even a tumbleweed in the middle of one fairway, and lastly non-existent cart paths torn up with rebar waiting for the concrete to arrive.
My name is Jeff Stern, I am the Assistant General Manager at The Vineyard. The pace of play at The Vineyard is set at 4 1/2 hour rounds. With that being said, on a busy day such as yesterday, the course can play at 5 hours. We do not overbook, we have pre-determined tee times and only accept those times. On a daily basis, The Vineyard has both an ambassador starter on the first tee, and an ambassador on the course to monitor pace of play. Our greens are firm this time of year due to the cold weather. With the change in seasons, our greens will soften up. The Vineyard is well known for it's greens, and is the best value in North County. I'm hopeful you will return to The Vineyard. Jeff
