Oak Brook Golf Club - East Nine
Played On 09/05/2017Great Value
This course can really be a hit or a miss depending on the time of year that you play it. Typically, the fairways and greens are in good shape. However, during some parts of the later half of the season, the surrounding areas of the green can become patchy, but the extent of which varies. The 4-5-4-3 on the first few holes is a nice variation which tests your long, approach, and short game.
The Freeport Club
Played On 10/08/2016Good course to stretch your clubs out
The main highlight of this course would have to be the amount of elevation change, with the first hole dropping a good 100 feet, and climbing back up for the green. Good mix of straights and doglegs, throwing in challenges at just the right time. Only complaint would have to be the lack of par 3's, and overuse of par 4's. While the holes definitely deserved their pars, the repetition became old at times. The greens were typically on the slow side, but were very, very smooth and well kept.
