Old South is a very good golf course (except for two stupidly laid-out holes—7 and 16!) Good conditions. Fair tee locations.

Great weather, good conditions (especially the rough, as compared to other courses). The course is in much better shape than others in the area.

Honestly?? Great layout. This course has the potential to be a very good course. But without ownership willing to spend some serious $$ to clean up all the weeds and mud and the so-called sand taps (did not find ANY sand at all anywhere there, except for desert sand), this is not a course worth spending your $$ on. Pay a few $$ more and play a course that will let you enjoy your round, no matter your ability level. Needless to say, we won’t be going back.

I have not played this course in about 5 years. As I last remember, it was in much better shape back then. Tee boxes are are in terrible shape, uneven, and missing turf. The women's tees are even worse. The cut of the fairways and roughs are inconsistent. The 10th fairway is a joke...non-playable from just about anywhere. Very wet in many places. Very few times would the ball roll after a tee shot. In fact, I "plugged" my ball 7-8 times during the round. In the future, I'll spend my dollars at better courses that are kept better.
