Interesting layout with good variety of holes. Front-nine conditions were poor, greens and fairways not good. Back-nine much better. Sand traps need work and there of plenty of them! Very small greens! Not the best on Hilton Head Island this time of year.

Played on extremely hot and humid morning. If you've played Palmer courses before, you know what to expect. Undulating greens that create smaller areas for pin positions. You need to know both position of pin on green and your yardage to be successful with approach shot. Undulating fairways can create awkward lies if you drive it into the wrong position. Plenty of room off tees but you need to get it into the correct position for approach shot. Greens hadn't been mowed the morning I played and were very rough. There was some sort of weed or foreign grass growing in some of them making putting a challenge. Sand traps were very poor, rake and place in your group if you play. Fairway grass conditions were okay and you can play the ball down. I really like Palmer layouts and this one is very good, too bad they're having difficulty maintaining certain things on course. A bargain at less than $30 on Golf Now. Play if you can get bargain price.

Very fair golf course. Played white tees on hot, humid morning in July. Plenty of room off the tees so go with driver when you choose. Enough length to be fun. Very small greens so know your yardage; bring Sky Caddie or laser. Greens don't have much slope in them.Great value, $38 through Golf Now.

The course has the best greens in the area by far. Course designed in early 1900 so routing is interesting. A couple of hole were constructed in late 1990s so there is a mix of old and new. Ninth hole recently redone.

Well run facility. Shop and cart personnel very friendly. Carts very clean. Practice facility is excellent. Course in very good condition, a little wet in some places but over-seeding is excellent. Pace of play excellent. I've played this course every winter for over ten years and this year it is at its best.

If you have played any Palmer designed courses, you know what you're in for. Very difficult green complexes with small areas within each green divided by tiers and valleys where hole positions are placed. You need a very good short game to play this course successfully. Reasonably generous off the tee. Slow play, in my opinion, is due to course difficulty not poor management as some suggest. Would not recommend it for players with handicaps over 20. Water fowl droppings make some of the holes a bit of a mess to play.

Short in length but fun course to play because of the green complexes. Course designer did a good job with routing. Positioning yourself off the tee is important to get to flag positions on greens. Fairways and tees in good shape. Over-seeding on some back-nine greens was not good. Greens a little slow the day we played, not sure if typical. Fairways dry and tight making iron play great. Would recommend course. Play was right on 4hrs for 18 holes.

Nice course to play with plenty of interesting holes. Greens okay, over-seeding a little thin but not bad. Fairways very good as were tees. Pace of play was excellent, right on 4 hours. Definitely a bargain at $40. Overall a great facility with nice practice area and bar/restaurant.

Second time I've played the course this winter. Excellent shape. Great practice area.

Course in okay shape. Over-seeding in some areas poor. Greens on backside are not great. Areas in front of greens was too wet. Fun layout, particularly the par fives. Front-nine par fours kind of boring but back-nine par fours, both short and long ones, are good.

Second time a played the course this season and course conditions have definitely improved. Over-seeding great except a couple of greens on back-nine. Fairways excellent and not wet. Tees okay for the most part, a couple of par 3s need some more grass. Our group walked and played in a little over four hours. Teed off ahead of tee-time. Would recommend to others. Really impressed with the course. Played plenty of courses this season in the northwest valley and this one the best conditioned. Everything in great shape: driving range, putting and chipping areas, tees, fairways and greens were excellent. Fairways not wet at all; they're nice and tight for iron play. Not too difficult but plenty of challenge from back tees. Staff really friendly too. Greens large, undulating, quick and smooth. Great deal through Golfnow.

Moderately easy course from tee to green. Greens complexes make this interesting place to play, greens have quite a slope and pin positions the day I played made it fun to play. Tees in great shape as were greens. Fairways good as were sand traps. Watch for back nine water, hidden on several holes and can surprise.

Played this course on New Year's Eve. Pace of play was good, about 4.25 hours. Finding balls in the back nine rough slowed down pace. Staff there is great and friendly. Easy walking course. There are some "big boy" par fours that were a challenge to play, particularly on the back nine. Conditions okay but there were some poorly conditioned areas needs a little work, particularly sand traps. Price was a bargain using Golf Now!

Played on Sunday afternoon in 3.75 hours. Greens, tees and fairways in excellent shape. Easy walk except the distance between #9 green and #10 tee. always liked this layout, easy enough but can be a bit of a challenge from back tees.
