Superb

Great course and layout, lots of mature trees amongst the sculpted course. Excellent use of the gradient changes to create illusions of distance and perspective, a real thinking persons course.

Greens not as slick as I would have thought for such a dry period and post PGA tournament, is it still early season?

Windy which added to the challenge.

Just loved the layout,

Average Experience

Experience not enhanced by having to drive through and industrial estate to get there.

Strange layout and maintenance/ condition only fair.

It was very dry so a lot of run, greens were quick and pretty good.

I really didn't like the layout and back and out type arrangement.

Good short notice golf

Good sunny day, however the course obviously suffers drainage problems, however for a March round it was not too bad. Some works going on that led to the course being a little untidy in places, but well managed access restrictions by buggy/ carts to the areas around the green.

Pace was good. Nice layout, not overly long or challenging. Sad to see the absence of etiquette and lots of un repaired pitch marks. The ever present problem of a Pay and Play course I guess. Repair yours plus another remains my mantra, I did just that and often two marks, but many were left.

Club house staff and on course team were friendly enough, but other users seemed rather cold, but again if Pay and Play is a bigger revenue than members the club feel is understandably absent.

£18.00 ( inc booking fee ) is Excellent value to me, impotent as my partner has a bad back and we were concerned he would have to pull out.

Half way house was closed which was a shame, and very few ball cleaning opportunities.

Lacks the members club feeling, but this is the modern side of the game and where again the benefits of Pay and Play meet their limitation.

Simply stunning

I lightly used club for the benefit of its members.

Tight wood/parkland course with a stunning layout. Many holes appears short but many a challenge lurks in its shape, contours and undulations. A true test of golf in both the physical and mental sense.

Always in stunning condition with greens that roll true and fast all year round.

On the 8th in the summer you best be putting uphill otherwise theres a risk you will be chipping back on after a downhill put.

Save some energy too for the long uphill 16th, known as Heart attack hill!
