Great course

I played this course for the first time after a weekend of heavy rain so no carts, walking only. There is water on 16 of the 18 holes and the course was barely able to contain all the moisture it had received. It was still one of the nicest courses I've played all year and the layout is beautiful. The greens are fast and true, the bent grass fairways held up well and it wasn't that bad to walk. Not even wet socks, lol. Because it was walking only I pretty much had the course to myself and finished in 4 very enjoyable hours even without a cart. The staff and grounds crew do a great job. I'll definitely be back!

Nice course

Greens we're in great condition for October, bunkers need work and some need sand! The layout is fantastic with old growth trees lining most fairways. Very challenging from the tips with a 673 yrd par 5. Some blind shots with water in play on more than a few holes. I'm glad I played with someone who's been there or it could of been tough finding some holes. This used to be an old country club, members only, and is now a public layout. Fairways were in great condition ruff was medium, greens were short tight and true. Overall a beautiful challenging course with a great staff

Hidden Gem

Played at 1pm on a Wednesday and it was wide open. The mature trees that line most of the fairways are well maintained as is the entire course. The rough was cut low and easy to find my many wayward shots. Holes 11 and 12 are bordered by water and scoreable if your straight . The bunkers were well maintained with soft sand. Overall a wonderful hidden gem in north central Illinois.
