Unique layout, right fairways

Don’t let the short yardage fool you, this is a difficult course for all but the straightest of ball strikers. Often if you miss the fairway or maybe even the rough you can still find your ball. But not here. If you hit a bad shirt your ball is likely at the bottom or a quarry. The layout is very unique and fun to play, but don’t be surprised if you lose a lot of golf balls.

Getting better but still room for improvement

Over the past couple years this course has improved it's overall condition. It used to be horrible! Grass fro tee to green always seemed like it was 1 hot day away from burning up and dying. But it appears they are starting to take better care of the course. The bunkers are still badly in need to some TLC, but most other areas of the course seemed O.K. My biggest concern was the pace of play. 4hrs and 30 minutes in and I had to drive off the 17th fairway to make an previous commitment.

I like the course layout a lot. There are few holes that really challenge you, a few with high risk/high reward, and several that are straight forward and fun to play. It's a good track.

At $35 it is a fine course. Cheaper would be better. More than that, I wouldn't play.

Excellent course if at a discounted price

I have played this course 2-3 times a year for the past 5 years. My biggest compliant about this course is that it is normally over watered, which has lead to plugged balls in the fairway and almost no run out on approach shots no matter the distance. As long as you know this about the course, you can adjust for it and it is not a major concern. The staff has been friendlier over the past couple years and pace of play is always good. Course is always in great condition but I don't view this course as a good value unless you can save 40-60% from their normal green fees.
