Always enjoy playing at either of the Quail Valley courses. Crew here does a good job of maintaining the course. Better than average fairways and fast greens.

Houston National had been on my "Do Not Play" list as the management had let the course deteriorate after they but focus/$ on their private club side, Sterling. Not sure if they are taking care of HN again or if it's just all the rain we've had in the area but fairways are green once again with only a few dirt patches left and greens are in great condition. Back on my list of course to play.

Course was in great shape relative to recent, previous rounds on the masters. Rough was rough and greens in much better condition (although slow). Pace of play was major problem. Overbooked but possibly regular Saturday morning. Even pro shop took forever to check in. Will not play on course weekends anytime soon.

First time to play Battleground and it was enjoyable. Apparently one of the crew had put Roundup on the course resulting in the killing of grass throughout. The course is on the mend with fairways in good shape, tee boxes mostly good but greens still need a little time and water. Overall a good course. Will play again.

Southwyck was in great condition with only a few minor items that I imagine will be better next round. The greens had been sanded recently so slightly slower than anticipated. Should be excellent in a week or two. The sand traps could also us a new layer of fine bunker sand. We played very early in the morning, the day after a hard rain. Traps were very "muddy" and I allowed my partner relief after he landed in one such trap. Otherwise the course was in excellent shape. Look forward to playing again soon.
