Lykens Valley Golf Course

Played On 09/01/2020Lovely little course!
There's such a great variety of trees here! Not usually a factor you consider when choosing a golf course, but you can't help noticing it at Liberty Forge.
It is an executive course - all par 3s and 4s, and short par 4s at that! So it's not the most challenging course in the world, but it's great if you want to get in a quick round without it taking half the day. Our twosome got through in 2.5 hours with minimal waiting, though it was on a weekday. I can't speak for what it's like on busy weekends.
Bridgewater Golf Club
Played On 08/05/2020Great course, but don't walk!
It's easy to make the mistake of thinking "Oh, it's just a 9 hole course - that'll be easy to walk!" But long, steep, uphill treks between holes make this an exhausting course to walk. Moreso in the summer heat.
I played a while back when it was the 18 hole Springwood, and it was in rough shape by the end. It's so much nicer now! And they kept all of my favorite holes from the old layout! It's like a Greatest Hits version of the old course. Not one hole is boring! Playing Bridgewater's 9 holes twice makes for more interesting golf than playing most courses' 18 unique holes.
Eagles Crossing Golf Course
Played On 05/10/2020Very impressed!
I was expecting a bog-standard course just going by the yardage and the price, but this place really wowed me! I paid a little over $30 on an in-season weekend for a course with challenging dogleg par 4s, fast, undulating greens, satisfying elevation changes, and beautiful views. Oh, and electric carts!! This is well worth the drive from Harrisburg, and I can't wait to go back
