I chose Royal Musselbrugh as a course en route to Fife where I was staying for a few days. The course was easy walking, a nice layout and in good contidion. Lift , clean and place was only needed a few time as the drainage was good on the day. If I was in the area again I would play it.

I have played golf for over 50 years and play off a 6 handicap, I have played over 500 coursed. This is in the bottom 3 of all time. It is a disgrace. There is little to say positively about it. The tees are so bad on some holes I had to use a 3 or 5 wood to tee off because the tees had so much sand on them. The greens that had been relaid have been tamped down by a herd of elephants. Avoid at all costs. A shocking course for such a nice area, there is plenty of choice out there, so go elsewhere.
