Mystic Dunes Golf Club

Hard hats and safety boots recommended . This course used to be a pleasure o play. Now there is construction of new roads and water systems to serve additional housing projects going on all around the course. Many fairways are like cow pastures. Greens are not good for the most part. You are told upon check-in that a new team has been hired to restore the course, but deterioration from one year takes several years and huge $ to reverse.

Love this course, but the mosquitoes made the round very unpleasant. Even with generous applications of deet the skeeters drove us to distraction.

Like the lay-out. Greens were good, but the fairways are sad.

Only the back 9 is in use. The fairways are like a cow pasture. The lay-out has great potential, but a major infusion of $ is needed to make it a playable venue. Golf carts should be ATVs.

We were paired with two others by the starter. We moved along at an easy pace ( started at 2:30 on a Wed.)
Greens, fairways, and tee boxes all in good shape. An enjoyable outing.

This complex needs a serious injection of $. It has a great layout, but the fairways are dried out to the point of being a pasture and the greens are pathetic.
Kings Ridge Golf Club - Kings Course

Several greens had been damaged by a mower oil leak (according to a marshall). Very long cart ride to the first tee if you sign in at the main course. Some pleasant panoramic views.
