Interlocken Golf Club - Vista/Eldorado
Played On 05/18/2022Eldorado/Vista
Course in pretty good shape despite lack of rain. Some of the rough was pretty thick and a challenge to get a club through it. Good speed on the greens with true roll. The sand traps I was in were hard packed and need some deep racking and some water (again no rain). Imagine the winds have blown off the top layer of sand.

Course offered a good amount of variety over the 18 holes. Fairways were in very good shape and greens were excellent and running at a good pace. Booked at a discount rate ($80) which was worth the price of admission. OC courses are overpriced but at $100 I would still consider this a good value. Kudos to the maintenance team for keeping the course in great shape. Would absolutely play again.

Course was in above average shape for SoCal courses. Pace of play: 4::10, pretty solids for a late morning holiday tee time. Greens were in excellent shape, fairways well manicured and in good shape. I purchased a discounted rate on Golfnow and for this price would rate a great value. Above $90 I would rate still rate this above average value for OC and average value when compared to the better Inland Empire courses. Will definitely play again. Restaurant food was very good as well.

Second time playing here in the last 2 yrs. I booked on Golfnow so paid a nicely reduced rate. But still, for the amount of money I would not expect to find dirt patches in the middle of the fairways. Seriously, in the middle of the fairways. What’s up with that? Greens were in good shape with a few showing strains of other grasses growing in. At the rack rate I would pass and make the drive to the IE. Pace of play, allbeit a mid-morning tee time, was slow, 4:45, even with a 10 min spacing.

I played Eagle Glen about a year ago and given the little rain fall last year, I said I would give the course another chance as conditions were unacceptable. So played again today which following several weeks of rain over the last 2 months. Well no change in the course. Truly disappointing to see the lack of maintenance given this course. Weeds in the fairways, patches of dead fairways, ruts that need to be filled, and the list goes on. The owner(s) should be embarrassed of the condition of the course. There are plenty of other courses in the IE worthy of your money. Don’t waste it here. Try Glen Ivey, Goose Creek, Oak Quarry or even Dos Lagos. You’ve been informed...
Oak Quarry Golf Club

Second time playing here. Course in great shape, staff is awesome and pace of play was pretty good. Given the heat, it is a bit over watered in the morning but that’s what showers are for in the afternoon. Keep up the great work!

First time playing Oak Quarry and nothing but good things to say about the course. A good test of your golf skills and one of the best maintained public courses in the area. Greens rolled true and had some speed to them. Highly recommend you give this a try if you haven’t played here.

I will reserve being too tough about course conditions given it’s supposedly winter. Course was pretty dried out and know there has been no rain. But still, they need to put water on the course. Greens were in pretty good shape and the track has some nice holes. Decent challenge from the blues. 5 hour round was really painful. Will give this another shot in March/April with the hopes the fairways are in better shape.
